Our little boy wore his last one for 2 years with no problems whatsoever, and we're about to click "buy" on the next size for him. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Millie83 Great Product!
My daughter's school supply list requires her to have rain gear (they teach outdoors for part of every day, rain or shine). I have been searching for rain gear that delivers on quality, but wanted to avoid buying black because to me it is just depressing to put a little kid in black (blah!) and usually the alternative color (if any) only coordinated with 'boys' theme jackets (because girls dont play in the rain?!)
The jacket is light, easy to layer, and look great with the matching pants. Also, the price is so reasonable compared to other full brands that also offer full rain gear. Finding a rain jacket is easy, but if you want a full set that looks good, it can be difficult to find colors for kids.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AJac Flimsy and short
Par the course, LL Bean made a flimsy rain jacket that would not withstand my son's harsh treatment. The zipper is their usual zipper- the one that quickly breaks- and the actual length is short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TGEr Good shell garment and light rain jacket.
Our 7 year old daughter has had this for about a year. Works well as a shell garment over layers and as a light rain jacket. Have not tested it in a serious downpour, but doubt it is designed to withstand the same level of weather that an adult would use a similar garment for. Used recently on a week long mountain trail hiking vacation and really did well as part of a layering system just like the big kids (grownups) were using. No problems with the zipper for us.

The zipper was gone pretty quickly after a few wearing. Not very good at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 2girls0728 Great toddler jacket; need to bring back pink
We bought this for my toddler in a size 2T and 3T in the pink/rose color (no longer offered) and absolutely loved it. Very well made, especially compared to the competition for the price. Not all toddler rain jackets are breathable and lined.
However, why did you discontinue the pink/rose color???!!! It looked nice and girly and matched so much of my daughter's clothes, especially with the lavender zipper trim.
The coral color is just ugly and what toddler girl wears that color anyway... We bought a pink jacket from a competitor, and, while it isn't made as well, my daughter will actually wear it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nativeplantzealot Great Jacket, Terrible Zipper
We bought this about a year ago. Zipper was "sticky" and annoying at first, but we could wiggle it closed with a bit of effort. It progressively got worse and worse, until now you cannot close it at all. Even if you can get the bottom of the zipper to engage, the minute the zip gets two inches past the bottom, the zipper teeth unmesh from the bottom, leaving you with a useless tangle. Not much good against wind or rain, if you cannot close the otherwise beautiful jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Excellent rain jacket and soft shell
If you have kids this or something like it is a must have. My kids wear theirs on rainy days, cold days, windy days, you name it. They are running all over the place so it allows them to layer with fleece or something under. On cold days or rainy warm, it works. I've looked around for a better price, but have not been able to find anywhere. Three girls and they all have one.

Plan to use for rain as well as over fleece during winter. Looks great and well made, we have not used it too much so have not had the zipper problems few reviewers have mentioned. True to size, good buy

by ppwLarchmont Great Jacket - But, keeps breaking...
This is an amazing rain jacket! Not too hot for my boy. But, unfortunately LL Bean uses a cheap plastic at the bottom of the zipper - rending this jacket unclose-able after a couple of months (very occasional) wear. Because this piece (the bottom part that you insert into the zipper part) uses a very flimsy/cheap plastic is gets 'eaten' up after a few times. And, then you cannot zip up the jacket...
This is my 3rd that I've exchanged. Please LL Bean, improve the quality of the zipper!
