Rated 4 out of 5 by HuskyWalker Soft, a bit large
My husband is usually a Bean large in the polo shirts, but this one runs slightly larger. He is wearing it all the time, though, as it is soft and he says he likes the bright green especially well with his tan jeans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Blacksmithking Latest batch is better
I noticed new colors (a new batch?) of these shirts were available, and the older colors were on sale now. I ordered one of the newer medium-talls, and it's much better. That's a relief, since in the interim I tried polos from other vendors and found them dissatisfying. I'll try a few more of the new batch of LLBean polos soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JEH12 I wanted a Polo shirt not a mini dress
I've been buying Polo shirts from LL Bean for 30 years. I purchased three Polos recently and am quite disappointed in the overall fit of the shirts. Each shirt is four inches longer than previous ones I have purchased and the neck opening and button placket are overly large. I can't wear the shirts untucked as they are too long and tucking them in doesn't look good either. I plan on returning the Polo shirts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Timot54 Wrong fit after over 40 years!
I have been buying and wearing this shirt for over 40 years. Got a new one today and it is as other reviewers say: way too baggy. It is a very different fit than before. Also had a bad smell when I opened the package. That is another unfortunate first. I strongly recommend making these right and charging whatever that costs. Last one I will buy until I know you have changed back to the original quality and fit. Too bad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Blacksmithking Quality changed
I've worn these shirts exclusively for years. I order online since I like the medium-tall size and the stores never carry it. The latest ones have wear points at the base of the button down collar and at the banded sleeves. Holes appear at first, and then the entire band comes off, leaving me with ripped-sleeve Hulk shirts. I figured I just had a bad batch that just didn't wear well, so I bought replacements. 2/3 of these new ones fit so poorly I returned them (after never having returned anything to LLBean before). I'm grateful for LLBean's excellent return policy, but I'm disappointed that I can't order these shirts in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HD1940ul Great Shirt, but ...
I have literally purchased dozens of these shirts over the past 30-40 years. Great product. I am 5-9, stocky 220 lbs. The Large size always fits perfectly when new, but always ends up shrinking in overall length, leaving a draft around my waist. I wish they would cut this shirt just an inch or two longer to start with, and they would probably be OK. I have tried the Tall Large, but it is likely wearing a night shirt ... My 2 cents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beausie The Perfect Polo
I recently purchased the Double L Polo in solid white. I wanted the classic summer look with no frills. I had read reviews complaining about sizing. I ordered my usual size Large. The fit is perfect. The 100% cotton fabric is so smooth and soft if feels like a polyester blend. I will be ordering another very soon.

I had previously purchased Polo shirts from that other company. The One's from LL Bean are far superior, The fit is ideal, No wrinkles out of the dryer, great to travel with, as they hold up well no fading/shrinkage/wrinkles. after a almost a year now. Highly recommend these, you can't go wrong these Shirts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by callmemister Not an old school style polo
The sleeves aren't tight enough and are too long. The fabric isn't similar to the traditional and original Izod polo shirts which have a waffle type appearance and are sort of stiff. This fabric is softer and more clingy feeling. I suspect it won't be nearly as cool in the summer. I have 15" inch biceps and the band of the sleeve of a size large is baggy. The sleeves are also too long and only about two inches from my elbow. Maybe I should try the trim fit. I am no spring chicken at 54, but this shirt appears to have been designed for out-of-shape geezers. Look elsewhere if you want the atheltic fit and feel of an old school polo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by travellllller Wish the arm cuff didn't look stretched out
I bought the XXL Tall in black. The color has not faded after many washing- which is great. There has been no pilling at all. The shirt did shrink a bit in the width and in the length- but the arms didn't really seem to shrink so they seem really big. The cuff on the short sleeve is huge. It seems to just hang there- it gives the appearance of being very stretched out. (I found that it was the same on the XL too.) Normally I find that the cuff on the arms of short sleeved polo shirts run a big snug, especially if you have any type of muscles built up on your arms- but this shirt just seems to be a bit too big in the arms. I had hoped that this would a great shirt to buy for the summer- but I will be seeking another brand to fill the closet with because it just isn't a flattering fit on me.
