Rated 5 out of 5 by saramay Wonderfully comfortable!
I rarely buy sheet sets. I love to mix and match, sometimes even with percale and flannel, depending on the time of year. I got this in a flat floral pine. Beautiful. But the greatest thing is that it is wonderful to sleep with and washes and dries well. I'm going to order the fitted as well because it is pretty and the design is not boring. Doesn't matter what you are wearing to bed, you can easily slide around in these sheets. This is important when you are in competition with 2 little dogs all night. :)
At first I considered LLB's sheets expensive but after many years of buying cheaper ones in reputable department stores, in fact, I have discovered that these prices are worth it. I use my other sheets when I make quilts for charities so all is not lost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sweatersavvy Solid color percale sheets
I love these sheets! I bought the darker blue which is not nearly as dark as the sheets shown online, but I'd read the review of another customer who said they were not a lot darker than the lighter blue, which is why I bought them, and I am very satisfied with the color. I love the noise they make, even if I hear it in the middle of the night. They are very crisp and seem to skim over my body rather than wrap around it which is a bonus in our hot humid weather this year. I only wash them once every two weeks, and am interested to see how long they last. Please make some in a pale peach!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MaryEH Not what they used to be?
I have bought a new set of percale sheets every year; this year I went crazy and bought cream instead of plain white.
I love these sheets because they are a very nice combed cotton -- not the sateen-y sheets that are everywhere, which can have very high thread count, but very low quality thread. So I was delighted to locate these at LL Bean.
However -- the cream ones from this year do not have the same feel to them, not sure how to describe the difference. Slightly more "sateen-y"? I did check the stitching along the side, just as a quality-control, and the stitching is about 50% fewer stitches per inch, which is a quantifiable difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by brusselsftw So soft, not scratchy; crisp and clean
I am writing this review to let people know that unlike some other reviewers, I do not find these sheets rough or scratchy in the slightest. They are not sateen, obviously, but you should know that if you're buying them. They're sturdy, yet soft, and feel unbelievably crisp and smooth. I haven't noticed any noticeable crinkling sounds that other reviewers mentioned, either. I requested these sheets as a birthday present, and couldn't be happier!

A++.....I've had these sheets for several years and they continue to impress me. Well-made, substantial, smooth, comfortable. Mine are white, so I don't know how the colors fare over time. I dry them on low heat and they come out unwrinkled. Two different guests have asked about the sheets and then gone on to buy them for themselves. These aren't for you if you love sateen... they have all the great features of percale as it's meant to be.

Rated 1 out of 5 Far from usual LLBean quality
My family and I have been huge fans of Bean's percale cotton sheets. They have a wonderful heft and are crisp. Sure, they wrinkle, but what doesn't if it is 100% cotton? I loved the blue windowpane pattern, and ordered the sheets, encouraged by the good reviews.
What a huge disappointment! The fabric, made in China, is very thin and the finish actually felt like very fine sandpaper! I assumed that they added a finish to help prevent wrinkles, so washed the sheets several times. No change!
I went back to my linen closet and pulled out the wonderful Tonal sheets, that are no longer available from Bean's. What a difference, and what a shame that these sheets had to,be returned. Please bring back the Portugese made hefty, smooth yet crisp cotton percale linens. V

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tim1212 Good sheets but bad colors
I have purchased two sets of these sheets, and while they feel good (at least initially), I'm disappointed by the colors.
Mid blue -- got this color first. It's much lighter than it looks on the website and was too feminine for me. I returned it.
Antique pine -- exchanged mid blue for this color, and it's sort of a yellowish green and not as subdued as the picture. I'm going to keep them because I don't want to deal with/pay for the return again.
They're a bit big for my mattress and standard pillows but I haven't washed them yet. I imagine they'll shrink a bit. They're pretty crisp at first, but they feel good, and I'm hoping they'll soften up a bit after washing.

by Frangipani14 Mid Blue, aptly named, is not Dark Blue
I love these sheets and bought several recently. However, I was disappointed with this one, in Mid Blue. Although the photo looks like a darker blue on your computer, Mid Blue is a medium blue. My attached photo which isn't very good (too yellow) was shot on a pure white bedspread. On the right is a navy blue sheet that I was hoping to match. In the middle is the Mid-blue sheet. On the left is a Light Blue percale sheet bought previously, which was truer to the color shown on website. I should have listened to previous reviewers!

Rated 5 out of 5 Great Sheets but no inventory for King white
The first time we ordered they had to search all the stores to find one Kings sheet in white. Would order again but it is not available (again) for three weeks. No inventory, no sales

These sheets are the best! I have bought a lot of excellent sheets from LL Bean, and these are even better than the others. These sheets are silky smooth and I love the way they feel against my skin. I am indulging myself by buying a second set!
