Like many of you, the folks here at L.L.Bean love the companionship of dogs – that's why we decided to completely redesign our dog beds. The result is a comprehensive comfort system for our best friends.

The dog beds have been reengineered from the inside out for increased comfort, durability and support. Features include our innovative "mattress" insert that combines thick cushioning with a supportive nesting area. This insert is covered with a tightly woven nylon shell. The final layer is a machine-washable fleece-and-denim cover that is as tough and comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans. Unique zipper garage stows zipper pull to discourage chewing.

Designed to complement any décor and with the option to personalize with your pet's name, this deluxe dog bed is the ideal resting spot for your loyal companion. Cover imported. Insert filled, sewn and finished in the US, fabric imported. Machine wash and dry cover. Spot clean insert.

Rated 5 out of 5�by Roughrider Premium Denim Dog Bed We have purchased 5 of these, 2 replacement inserts, and have 2 complete beds on order again. For us the covers seem to be lasting about 6 years and the inserts about 3 years. This is with 2-3 huskies having their choice of 4 of these beds available in different locations in our garage. We also have 1 for use in the Suv on longer trips and in the tent when car camping with the dogs. If one improvement could be made it might be some kind of moisture proof liner over the insert to protect it from a wet dog and also to minimize odor transfer and retention. These are the best dog beds I have ever seen and it is a bonus to be able to order replacement covers and inserts. February 16, 2012

The fleece is soft, the pad holds its shape and the cover looks new wash after wash. My dogs love these dog beds. Well worth the money. January 16, 2012

I have a 24lb beagle who loves to cuddle up on this bed. GREAT BUY! GREAT BED! Well worth the money. My dog gives it 4 paws up, he'd do five but doesn't have that many. October 19, 2011

My cats like them too, often pushing out the dogs. :) They don't sleep on them at night because they sleep in crates, but they spend large portions of the day lounging on them. I have 2 large size rectangular beds, and they are big. Sometimes both dogs lie on one bed together. (See photo from this morning.) May 2, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by 2LabRetMom great bed Bought this in XL for 2 95# Labs to share. Plenty of room, even if the cat joins them. Recently had to clean both the cover and insert. Although the label indicates spot clean only on the insert, I took the chance of machine washing in a large commercial machine. I also used a commercial dryer. Came out great! I am very happy and the dogs love it. This is their normal hang-out spot while I am working from home several days a week. April 28, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5�by WeLoveSamie It's a great bed - but I bought this bed about a year ago and Samie loves it and we did too, but lately there is a smell that is in the bed that it bothering us. I have washed the cover and found out that you can't even have the insert cleaned in any way. Sure wish there was some way to clean it because it is still good, but has an odor. I have put it outside on a chair in the sun to see if that will help. Samie is an indoor dog and we do bath her at least every other week but there is this oder - any suggestions? Samie's a Gordon Setter and such a love. March 30, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5�by Jodyh Beds Need Improvement I purchased 4 of these beds for our dogs, and they were wonderful... at first, and the denim covers met all my expectations. One year later these "fabled" dog beds had flattened and nothing I could do could regain the original loft. I've been putting off replacing for a year now, a long time in a dog's life and they were expensive. I'm waiting for llBean to provide a water resistant cover for their convoluted foam beds to protect foam and ease placement into outer cover. The white fabric covering your regular beds would be perfect. Remember, these beds are for dogs, they get wet, they get soiled , they need washing...! When that happens I think the foam beds will be best in industry... please listen, Bean's, we need a better product! February 23, 2013

My Golden loves it, which is saying a lot, considering she doesn't usually lay on dog beds. The large was plenty big for her 55 lb. frame. Another good-quality L.L. Bean Product! February 18, 2013

Epic is a 75lbs Shepherd/Collie/Corgi mix and I bought him the medium size of this bed, his other one is a large couch version. It is well worth the money, we couldn't be happier with it.
