Rated 5 out of 5 by Roughrider Premium Denim Dog Bed
We have purchased 5 of these, 2 replacement inserts, and have 2 complete beds on order again. For us the covers seem to be lasting about 6 years and the inserts about 3 years. This is with 2-3 huskies having their choice of 4 of these beds available in different locations in our garage. We also have 1 for use in the Suv on longer trips and in the tent when car camping with the dogs. If one improvement could be made it might be some kind of moisture proof liner over the insert to protect it from a wet dog and also to minimize odor transfer and retention. These are the best dog beds I have ever seen and it is a bonus to be able to order replacement covers and inserts.

Our dog took to this bed immediately! The cover is so soft & comfy. Just 2 days ago doggy got sick on the this bed. Immediately I cleaned off the solid stuff & took the cover off, walked over to the sink, and using some dish soap (which works best on food mishaps) & water, it cleaned right up. After a thorough rinsing, I put the cover in the dryer on low & 30 minutes later it was back on his bed....good as new!!! Thank you LLBean for another GREAT product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by texashayseed Cat Bed Too
This is my second dog bed from ll bean, not enough room for all the dogs and cats that are fighting over it. Im not sure if it is the bed or the ll bean dog blanket that I put on top, but my cats stick to this thing like velcro. They only get off of it to eat and then they are right back on it. The blankets are exactly sized to fit the beds so I have to medium beds, two medium blankets (which are more like mats). The blankets protect the bed and are washable which is great on muddy days. These beds are well worth the money and color choices also great. The blue is true blue jean denim blue and the burlap is a nice olive shade that blends well in my earth tone living room. Thanks LL Bean, another great item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DogBedFan Great purchase for our chewer!
Our new pup ate 3-1/2 beds in as many months, but I wasn't quite ready to fork over $$$ for an indestructible bed made of teflon or ballistic nylon. I decided to try this bed out and about two months later and I'm ordering a second one for our other dog (who claims the first one for himself several times a day).
Both hounds (lab-mixes) definitely could chew this bed up if they decided to, but they don't seem interested. My theory is that the smooth fabric isn't as tempting as the fuzzy/plush-covered egg crate mattresses we had before.

Rated 3 out of 5 by leathersnob Great cover, but..
I have had the denim dog bed for two years. The covers are outstanding! I bought an extra to change them out when one is being washed. They are super durable (but of course I have a well behaved dog who does not chew on or dig in his bed). However, the bed it self is very poorly padded. I had to buy a soft top twin bed cover to wrap around it twice just to make it more padded. I would recommend the covers but not the bed itself -- LLBean scrimped on stuffing.

We had 2 dogs - a german shepard and labradoodle. We have had this bed for a couple of years now and it has been great until now. We recently acquired another german shepard that is about a year old. Within the first few days at our house, he completely destroyed the cover (which already had a few tears in it) and chewed a few holes in the bed. I added more stuffing, sewed up the holes in the bed and ordered a replacement cover. I returned the bed to the porch, resewn with the new replacement cover. Within three days the bed was completely destroyed by the new dog. This bed is great and I would recommend if your dog is not a chewer. But it will not last anytime if your dog chews!

Rated 2 out of 5 by IceCreamSpringer Fill bunched up
The first thing my dog did was dig at the bed (the way dogs do sometimes when settling in), and the fill inside turned into a big pile in the middle. The inside doesn't have an opening to get to the fill and shaking it out doesn't work, so there's now no way to get the big lump out of the middle without cutting it open, which I don't really want to do. My dog still uses it though, he seems to be fine just curling himself up around the lump. The outer denim cover has been very durable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KatieinCLE Dog loves it but....
Our Rhodesian Ridgeback has loved this bed since the day it arrived. He goes to bed on his own without waiting on us any more. He's 112 lbs and the XL is perfect for him. The only thing preventing me from rating it 5 stars is that the fleece pills a lot! I was hoping after several months it would stop, but it continues to pill leaving fleece balls all over the floor. I've even tried vacuuming it with no improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AussieLover9 Buying more
I've had 2 of these for years now. Having a house full of Australian Sheperds, these get a workout. I have several other dog beds also, these dog beds are the best, hands down. I wash them weekly & they're still going strong. I'm here to buy another couple. Love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Underwood131 Great Bed!
Our springer puppy loved this so much that we ordered another -- one for upstairs, one for downstairs. Snuggy fleece cover, soft but supportive poly fill. Medium is a perfect size for him (he's pretty much full size by 8 months).
