Rated 4 out of 5 by 2255 Warm, but no chaimois
I really wish LL Bean would sell a full length bike pant with a chamois, like the Pearl Izumi Elite. That said I rod my bike for 5 miles last night when the temp was around 60 F. I put these over my attack shorts and my legs were plenty warm, but not overly so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BenGC Cold weather necessity for outdoor running!
These were my first pair of running tights, so I read the other reviews regarding fit, and I'm very glad I did. I'm 5' 9", 31" waist, and 160 pounds, and am very glad I got a Medium in these. They are VERY tight, but stretch out and extremely comfortable once on.
-Have tested out in 35-45F weather and that seems like the sweet spot for these, though I'm sure it would be ok for around 30. (Above 50 you'll get WAY too hot though)
-No real cons but I wish there was something reflective on the back of the legs, a zipper on the legs to help put them on easier, and a small zipper pocket on the back.
HELPFUL TIP: You might want to go sans-underwear in these because I wore my ExOfficio boxer briefs in these, and got some pretty uncomfortable chafing on my inner thighs after about 1 mile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by runningguy A necessary item in cold weather.
I bought a pair of these for my first winter of running. I had never worn tights before so I was a little self conscience about such a form fitting item. However, when I put them on they made me really feel like a runner. They are warm up to the coldest days - low 20's - and they are very very comfortable. I may put a layer of thermals under them to supplement them when it does get cold enough. They don't have zippered ankles which may seem like a disadvantage but that means that you have one less thing to chafe you.
Make sure you get the correct size though, they are tight if you aren't honest about the size that you need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kiwibru Tight tights!
If you want a relatively good fit you will have to buy these a couple of sizes larger as they are sized really weird. I wear a Med. but ended up sending back a Large and re-ordering an XL! The legs, especially the lower portion are very slim, almost too much so.
With the XL I have some extra length but that is no big deal, just hike them up and great for cycling as long as the extra is not allowed to gather behind the knee. Sugoi products are nice but the sizing leaves me scratching my head...

Rated 4 out of 5 by CarolDelG Excellent tights - watch the sizing
My husband loved these tights, but the sizing seemed way off. He should have ordered 2 sizes up. Sugoi has excellent products -he was surprised the sizing was so far off. LL Bean makes it easy to order and return - outstanding customer service !!

These tights are good for cold runs - I have gone in the 20s with some additional windchill and was fine. As some others have stated, these tights are tight. I wondered if I had the correct gender/size - Men's Medium - I am 5'10" and 155lbs. I held them up to my wife's Women's Medium pair and they seemed to be the same size. According to the size chart, I have the right size.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KKGH really tiny and tight
Bought these for my husband as he doesn't enjoy the typical baggy sweatpants-type "active" pants you see in stores. These were too much the other extreme. They came out of the package looking like leggings for a young girl. He's a medium to small in size but these are obviously sized on the small size. Had to send them back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by runningguy What you need for the cold
I wasn't quite prepared for the fact that these are tights but once you get over that you can focus on the fact that these tights are what you absolutely need to run in cold weather. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, you must pay close attention to the sizing chart. My waist is a 36" or 37" and I bought the XL and they fit very well. I would normally consider myself a large but don't make that mistake. Pay Attention to the sizing. I also think that gear like this makes you feel and look like a serious runner and will inspire you to run the extra distance or extra time. Finally, I looked at at least 4 places on line and thought that these were the best in terms of sizing, material, price, and over all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AntrimGuy Decent running tights
These tights are good for running in cold weather. There are no ankle zips. The lack of ankle zips makes putting on and taking off the tights slightly more challenging. These tights do not overly the restrict range of my running motion for longer runs. I recommend wearing compression underwear underneath these tights.

These tights fit snugly and provide support for muscles for aerobic activities. Good for running or cycling on days where you need an extra layer for warmth. They do not block the wind but breath well. There is no ankle zipper but I have no issues I getting them on. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. They are not for super cold weather
