Love it. It's light and warm. Best of all, it doesn't squash my glasses down over my nose as most warm hats do. I would buy it again and recommend to friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rito It really is windproof!
First off I wan't to say that this hat really is windproof. I spent a weekend sleeping right next to the ocean down in North Carolina and the wind was so loud it kept me from sleeping in my tent. I wore it outside at night at the fire, for a walk, and in the morning when packing up camp. It does look a bit goofy and I think my hat might be a little big for me because it will slip a little, but the material is great. It's lightweight and keeps my ears warm. The ear flaps are the best i've seen and there is a strap under to tighten the ears/hat closer to you for when you want it snug. I originally bought it with the intent of using it only for snowshoeing and cross country skiing, but now It's my go to hat. Warning- it will give you hat hair. I have a hot head so I chose this over a similar OR hat and I am happy I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coldweathergofer Good fit and keeps ears/face protected from wind
Bought this to wear during cold golf rounds in North Texas - wear 7 3/8 hat size - got the large - fits good. Wear it on walks with dog as well now. Look goofy, but @ age 63 who cares, right?

This is a great hat! Keeps your head & ears warm.
The only problem I had is it runs huge so I had to order an exchange. I ended up with a small as the LLBean Peruvian hat in S/M was too large also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by truewit I love this hat
I purchased this hat to wear while taking walks in the winter, as I don't like hoods or bulky hats. The windstopper Peruvian hat does just what I need it to do: keeps my head and ears toasty warm. I took a walk recently on a very cold and breezy day, and my head and ears stayed nice and warm. The hat is so light I hardly knew I was wearing it. A secure closure under the chin is comfortable, and holds the hat securely without being tight or pinching. I highly recommend this hat!

Rated 2 out of 5 not terrible
this hat is roughly made and the material is thin. I got it for my husband to wear under his bike helmet and he is going to try it but I wish it was made of real polar fleece and that the seams were more accurate to one's head shape.

The hat is fantastic! It is so comfortable and lightweight and it most definitely prevents the wind from blowing in my ears. I like it also because it stays put on my head so I don't have to stop and readjust it. Another big plus for me is that it doesn't create static electricity in my long hair when I take it off. Great hat that I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TexanUpNorth Amazing wind blocking performance!
The cold in Newfoundland is primarily a result of the North Atlantic winds and they blow hard! I learned quickly that I needed a good warm hat for snowshoeing and other outdoor activities here. The Windstopper Peruvian Hat certainly lived up to its name. The minute I put it on, I felt no wind whatsoever on my head and ears. The neck strap is also easily adjustable while wearing gloves to keep the hat snugly around my ears. This is one of the best cold-weather clothing investments I have made in a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ValuesQuality Great hat! Just what I've been looking for!
When I looked at this hat online, I sad to myself "really? ANOTHER hat?" But because of Bean's return policy I decided to give it a shot. I have many other warm hats, but all have features that cause me to not put them on unless I absolutely have to: too bulky, too itchy, don't look good, don't fit well, etc. But this...this is the hat I've been hoping for - I wear it to keep me comfy, and not just when it is SO cold and windy outside that frostbite is a real possibility. It's lightweight, and decidedly UN-bulky, yet is as warm and protective from wind as my biggest, fattest, fur-lined, wool-mix hat. It fits well - not so tight that I get a headache. And it looks pretty good, too (I am a woman). Did I mention that it's VERY warm, and gives great protection from wind? This has become my go-to hat. And I'm not looking for any more hats.
