Rated 2 out of 5 by StephRealtor Knitted Sock Too Tight
I purchased these for my 90 yr old Dad who is very frail but loves having some warm & fuzzy (and safer with the nonslip soles) slipper socks to walk around this house in (he is also blind with macular degeneration & hearing impaired, which has nothing to do with this review really). The knitted tops are so tight that he found it impossible to easily slip them on. I tried to stretch them out softly but that didn't work. I ended up returning them. I love LL Bean products and was very disappointed in how these are made.

First the pluses:
Extremely comfortable and cozy warm. Pleasant to slip on after a long workday.
They're best worn for TV viewing, and sedentary activities.
Minuses: You won't want to wear them for a lot of walking around. The foot slips around on the sole, and it becomes abrasive to the skin. I don't remember this so much in previous sock slippers.
I don't recommend these or any sock slipper for someone infirm, because the toe usually extends out, and it is easy to trip.

I have worn Slipper socks for decades and love that I can get the paper from the driveway without worrying about wet socks or cold feet. The knit let's my feet breathe so I can wear them all day if I wanted!
I wear the XL for a size 13 and they just make it...

These slippers are great! My daughter and her husband have worn these for years. They are now in McMurdo Station (Antarctic/South Pole) for work during the next 6 months. This is what they use whether home or away. Not only are they comfortable, but also warm. I have also worn them in the past. I would recommend them to anyone.

Just bought 2 more pair, bought 1 pair last year and they work great and still in great shape, they are for a disabled person with fused ankles and very poor circulation. these are easy to put on so he wears them a lot and helps keep his feet warm, also very comfortable and durable, Wore them threw airport security people loved the idea and wanted to know where we got them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by miladytn Good idea, but NO
While these appear to be a good idea, they are unwearable. After reading reviews, I ordered a larger size than normal for me. They were still so tight in the legs I could not get them on and could not wear them because they were tight enough to cut off circulation. And the feet were much too large in comparison. I like the idea but Bean needs to do something about their sizing. It is way off, not only in this, but pants and shirts as well. I expect better from Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sonar100 I love these slipper socks
I prefer to go barefooted all of the time, but there are burrs, metal points, rocks, etc, and these slipper socks with the leather bottoms are perfect to protect the feet. They also keep my feet warm in the winter.
I wrote a review on my first pair last year when they came apart at the seams and I had to resew them, and I was not happy.
The new ones, bought last August are really great. I have been wearing them every day all day long, and have only had to resew them several times (where my toenail rubbed through). The first pair lasted 5 months, and I have been wearing my present pair for 6 months!
I feel that these slipper socks were made for me. Perfect solution for going barefoot - but not really, and much better than flip flops with tabi socks.

Have struggled with finding socks or slippers that would keep my feet warm while sitting in my favorite chair in the evening. These do the job. They are warm when worn with or without socks and are comfortable to walk with indoors.
I wear a 9m and ordered a medium size. Fit is fine. Slippers are not made to look sleek and they do look somewhat bulky on the feet and I have to make sure I have my left shoe on the left and so on.
Would buy again.

My second pair after I literally wore the first out over several years. I would wear them anywhere and everywhere if I could!
