Rated 4 out of 5�by Giglet Second time it fit I had an old pair that wore out. I ordered the same size, 8 regular and they felt a bit tight. I returned them and ordered a size 10 petite and they fit fine. And I don't have to shorten them. May 1, 2013

The waistline is well-constructed and designed to be "very forgiving". I would highly recommend these pants, in fact I plan to buy one or two more pair in different fabrics.. April 12, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5�by MissGretel Nice pants, inconsistent sizing I found these on sale at a LLBean store. They are nice looking, fit well and are comfortable. The fabric is nice and soft as well as warm. The only thing I don't understand is why these cords fit me well in a size 10, but the regular twill Baysides in this style (comfort waist) fit me much better in a size 8. March 20, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5�by mainebub Petite Sizing Is Not for All Shorter People If you have a regular size torso and short legs, these petite cord pants may not work well for you. The rise is for a smaller torso. So I get the regulars and shorten the pant legs. The 10" difference between waist and hips is the LL Bean standard. If your waist and hips proportion are different, the pants will either have too small a waist when the hips fit, or when the waist fits, the hips and thighs are baggy. Nice fabric weight and style. Too bad I can't get a good fit! March 1, 2013

I still have other cords from Bean that I brought in the pass years and they are still in good shape. I wish Bean would make them in a light gray color. Rated 3 out of 5�by Artmaker Sturdy These cords are well-made with substantial, hefty fabric, deep pockets, metal zipper, neat welt back pocket. The navy blue is deep and rich-looking. On the down side, the gathers in the waist that accommodate the wide elastic make the waist feel thick and bunchy. Since my inseam is 31", I have to hem up the medium tall 32" length, as I did here; or I must take out the shorter 30" length, both of which operations are quite a bother and never look as nice as the original. Can't Beans make a 31" inseam be a standard measurement for pants? February 6, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by WAOZ Perfect Fit I'm a 16 P and frankly, most petite lengths are also smaller. Somehow the manufacturers don't realize that some of us just have shorter legs but are the same size as a regular 16. These pants were just the right size and length for my 5ft3 inch length. I have already washed the pants, mine are black, and I washed them in Woolite-dark to preserve the color as long as possible.I dried them on a delicate heat setting and they came out looking perfect. I am short and heavy, so I need a specialized fit which I get from LL Bean on top of LL Bean's top-notch service. Only design point I found that i would change was the lenght of the front zipper. I wanted a slightly longer packet/zipper opening. January 23, 2013
