By far my favorite late fall thru spring hat. warm enough for winter, but just right for the cool days of fall and early spring for those with folically challenged tops. Recommend to anyone.

Bought this for my husband, as he moved to a windier place this year. Fits well, adjustable, covers ears, and blocks wind fairly well. It doesn't provide much warmth, since it isn't lined, but is good at temperatures near freezing. If the weather is colder or windier, my husband usually chooses a different, warmer hat, also made of fleece but lined.

Fits fairly well. Ear flaps tend to curl under a little. Very warm and comfortable.

I've been waiting for Bean to make a colorful fleece winter cap with visor and ear flaps but was disappointed with this one. It was stiff, covered with a thin fleece inside & out, not nearly warm enough for single-digit windy winter days in NH. I was hoping for a windproof Polartec inside and out with a bit more give and more cover from glare and around neck & ears.Otherwise I'm a big fan of LLBean's quality clothes & gear.

I have been looking for a squall hat that fit well and was practical. I found it comfortable even with my hair in a ponytail. It is not cumbersome and bulky so it can be tucked in a coat pocket. I feel warm and toasty when I am wearing it and I spend a good deal of time outdoors for work and at home. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

The wind blocking quality of this hat is excellent. The ear flaps are long enough to give me full coverage and block the wind when I ride my bike on windy December mornings. The hat is not only warm but fits my head and is very comfortable. The bill is just the right size to block the sun and not block my view. I have two. One black from last year and a blue one a month old.

I received the gift of the dark brown version of the Fleece Cap about 15 to 20 years ago. I had seen a Detroit news reporter wearing one in bad weather and thought it would be great when I walked between school buildings were I worked. It was great. However, about 5 years ago, I had seamstress put a matching piece of material in the interior of the hat to cover the hole in the back of the hat. It is now even greater. But, it is getting old. I had seen the light blue version in the catalog I recently received but it is now already SOLD OUT!!! Outrageous!!! So, I will have to watch for it and order one of the light blue ones. It will be easier to see than my dark brown one anyway.

I wear this cap trapshooting and it is toasty warm. The trap houses are in the open and receive the unblocked winter winds. If my head gets chilly, I can quickly "lower the flaps" and continue shooting. Nothing about the cap gets in the way of mounting my gun.
