Rated 5 out of 5 by MarkMA Unparalleled Comfort and Warmth
My wife bought me one of these shirts (Black Watch) for Christmas this year. It immediately became my favorite shirt. Not only is it extremely comfortable, but provides a level of warmth that is unparalleled. I have since bought four more of these shirts and have recommended them to my co-workers. I am 5'9'', 175lbs and the Large fits perfectly. Great shirt all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beleven Men's Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirt
Fall 2015 catalog, page 5. The ad advertises Portuguese Flannel shirts. I purchased a Grey Stewart, large, regular, slightly fitted, Scotch Plaid Flannel shirt at a LL Bean retail store. The shirt's tag said "made in El Salvador." Doesn't this seem strange?
Portuguese - El Salvador. I'll bet they say the material is made in Portugal, then shipped to El Salvador for manufacture, then shipped to the U.S. for sale. I wonder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SunbeltGirl Beautiful color, perfect fit, best material ever!
I bought this for my brother as a gift and it's absolutely beautiful.
I love the Prince Edward red color flannel.
It's soft and the colors are vibrant and rich.
Can't wait to see how he likes it!

I've been off of flannels for awhile , because usually the day you buy it is the best it will ever look. Not so with this shirt. Last year I was tempted by the scotch plaid in Grey Stewart. I'm glad I got it. It still looks good a year later. I'm happy that the weather is getting cooler so that I can dig it out of the closet.

I bought two of these, they are the only flannels shirts widely available in authentic Scottish tartan.

by Royaltimothyjoseph What a fall/winter treat for myself
I just bought a flannel from bean for the first time ever. It's so comfortable and fits great. I'm 6'4 250 and have always worn xl shirts, but I got mine in a large tall in slightly fitted after trying it on in store. Sleeves are a tad short but I didn't want the bulky traditional fit. I think it's perfect cus i marine roll my sleeves anyways. So happy about this shirt, really excited. Grabbed another one tonight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pcblueeagle can be a 5 star IF
Can be a five star IF they get rid of the button down collar. My oldest shirt has/had NO buttons, it is the most comfortable one of the three I own. Don't button the collar and it looks weird. Oh well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OldSilver give me these shirts, or give me death! / COLOR!
these are awesome. so soft, totally warm & comfy, and great-looking (FAR more vividly colorful than the website pictures). just a pleasure to own & wear.
good people of l.l. bean, please insure that these continue to be made Just as they're being made now - they're perfect. thanks.
for reference, i'm joe blow, the average man: 5' 10", and depending on which season of the year it is (fatter in the fall/winter), between 165 & 175 lbs, and the Large fits me perfectly after washing: sleeve cuffs hang around wrist area so as to provide complete coverage when reaching forward or up, and so as to not be in the way when working w/my hands, and hem hangs so as to be long enough to be tucked securely, or worn un-tucked without appearing to hang too low; a totally acceptable casual look. again, perfect.
now, a problem: there's a plaid pattern suddenly missing from this year's offerings. i can't for the life of me remember its name, but it's a fundamental, classic color scheme, as basic and necessary as the Prince Charles of Edward & Navy Tartan.
its base color is black, with (if i remember correctly), accents of red, yellow, and possibly green and/or blue. very specific, i know, but i'm sure that those concerned know which one i mean. it was there last year, but isn't here now. bean, Please bring back this classic. it's a moral obligation! bring 'em back for just one year - i'll stock up for a lifetime!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oldcoach Still the best after all these years!
You cannot beat this shirt in traditional fit! After all these years this quality flannel shirt simply gets better with age. I look forward to wearing it when winter finally arrives each year. You can work or play in it because it's rugged, well made, and looks good. The comfort is unmatched by all the others. It's worth the money to wear the best!
