I purchased this as a replacement for a similar model that finally broke (the red handle cracked and finally came off) after 20+ years. It gets carried daily in a pocket, and is used for bicycle repairs, eyeglass repairs, removing slivers, tightening all sorts of screws, and opening cans and bottles. I use the small blade as much as the large, even opening boxes and envelopes when nothing else is handy. The blades hold an edge well, but when they do need to be sharpened it is quick and effective. This new model seems to snap into place with more of a click, although not a lockblade. You won't miss the scissors found in some versions that are thicker. A great everyday pocketknife.

I've been carrying a Victorinox pocketknife since finding one on a hiking trail in 1981. It is indispensible - perfect for light to moderate unplanned tasks. In fact, I'm more apt to forget my wallet when leaving home than my Swiss Army knife. The Tinker is small (easy to carry) yet offers a variety of handy tools I can access just by reaching into my pocket. I expect to enjoy years of use with my newest acquisition.
The only problem with the one I just purchased (my 6th or 7th in 30 years) is an undersized toothpick "handle" which makes it very difficult to extract - and that is a first. I'm not concerned, however, because I know that the folks at Bean will make it right.

I've owned one of these knives before, and it was lost. I saw this as a chance to replace a great knife at a good price and get the LLBean logo to boot. These are great knives. I will always have one. I will always check LLBean first.

This is a great tool. It has many use. I use it several times a day. Knife, screwdriver etc.

I must have bought at least half a dozen of this knife from Bean's over recent years. I won't leave home without it--that's how valuable it is--but I keep misplacing them. I cannot say too many good things about the knife and the shopping experience at Bean's.
