Rated 4 out of 5 by VikingKen2 Nice knife but spring lock failed.
Handy and lightweight knife. The spring lock lost its springiness which made it extremely easy to open but not stay locked. Liked the knife so much I sent it back for an exchange.
Don't know why the locking system failed. It worked perfectly for 10 months then just went limp.
Exchange works fine.

I purchased this knife while at the L.L. Bean store in Freeport, as I had forgotten my pocket knife at home. It was the only one in that size, but because of the security packaging I was unable to get a feel for this knife. After opening the package I quickly realized that I would not have purchased it If I had been able to hold it in my hand. The weight of the knife is heavy and the blade is quite stiff. Also, the locking device for holding the blade open is difficult to unlatch. If this knife has any redeeming feature the blade itself does seem to be quite sharp.

Rated 1 out of 5 by txknifelvr Big disapointment
I ordered the knife based on looks, good price and the fact that it was made by Gerber. Upon receipt of the knife, and cutting it out of the hard blister pack packaging, my first impression was favorable, the finish was nice and color was as expected. The problem came with operation. Opening the blade was very stiff. Do not think this will be a fast deploy. And once the blade was open and locked, it was very difficult to unlock the blade to close. Big disappointment. I returned the knife and to LLBeans credit was issued a prompt refund,

This is a good size and weight knife with strong, but light, Gerber quality. My only issue is that it is a little firm to open and close. I am hoping with repeated use it will soften up some. Fits perfectly in either hand.

I am not a knife expert,,, so grain of salt.
Pros: Light weight but seems very strong. Blade locks very positively. Shape of blade seems designed for maximum utility. Open handle design makes cleaning a snap. Pocket clip very strong. Sharp of course. Fits hand well. Unique looks.
Cons: None so far.

I have bought other Gerber products, so I think this one is an outlier. Upon opening the knife the first time, I found that the knife is almost impossible to close without using a screwdriver to pry the spring lock away from the blade. It appears that the part of the blade against which the spring locks and the tip of the spring lock are very roughly ground and they jam together so tightly that aI cannot separate them to allow the knife to close using my fingers. Too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Esteep Great knife, and it's Ti-Grey!
Great knife, great price, fast delivery. What's not to love? One nit to pick: it is *not* stated in description (though it is apparent from photo) that this model is a Ti-Grey Paraframe I (Titanium carbo-nitride coated blade and handle). That cool fact was important to my purchase, as it undoubtedly would be to others, and it should have been in the description (Gerber also makes a plain stainless model Paraframe). Ok, one more nit: logo on my knife was different than pictured, but apparently Gerber changes logos more often than some folks change their underwear.
