I have used these gloves for 2 seasons. I use them for duck hunting, and are the gloves I use to set up and break down. They are not waterproof but still keep your hands warmer and still have the dexterity to be able to handle decoy snaps and weights, set up my blind and even handle shells. They fit well enough that I can use them for shooting gloves and NOT get the tip of the thumb caught when inserting shells into the magazine of my semi-auto shotgun. Only issue I had was a couple of seams began to come apart but I just re-sewed them by hand before it got too big, that's the reason for 4 stars. I bought a second pair to have as a back up. I do use a canoe and a kayak at times in the cold and the gloves are great for that too.

I have long fingers ("piano fingers" as they say) and this item in a medium fits me like a glove. I like the Velcro at the wrist and there was no sense of binding or restriction. Two thumbs up!

My hands were taking a beating from kayaking...I had gotten another pair of gloves somewhere else and they didn't last anytime. Saw these....got these...and have never been happier...Did a 14 mile trip on a lake and no blisters or sweaty hands....YEAH!

In preparation for an upcoming float on the Buffalo National River, I purchased the NRS Hydroskin gloves, socks, pants, and shirt. The water temp was in the low 40's, and the air temp was in the 50's. Paddling a canoe is not an immersion event, and if you go in, you just stand up and walk to shore. Everything but these gloves performed as I expected. After 8 miles on the river, the seam gave way at the web between the thumb and pointing finger on my dominant (right) hand.

Rated 4 out of 5áby activegrl nice gloves
I bought these gloves for long distance kayaking in the summer (temps in the 80's). They are great and no blisters. They are a little slippery on the paddle, but not enough to be a problem.

I just came back from the Tough Mudder Tri-State 2011 (12 miles, 32 obstacles). These gloves were fantastic for climbing over walls, crawling through mud, and especially on the monkey bars. I was very glad to have a good grip on the bars since it was the end of the race and I wasn't looking forward to falling into a pond. Plus they cleaned up nicely afterward. I did notice that they didn't keep my hands too warm, although I'm not sure if they would've been warmer without the gloves.

I am planning on using these gloves for a Tough Mudder event. They are unisex and I am usually a ladies 7.5 glove and found the small to be too large so I swapped them for an XS. The XS seemed too tight to pull on but once they were over my wrist they felt great where the small were a little loose on my fingers and knuckles.

Rated 4 out of 5áby LoneWolf365 Light weight, warm... not waterproof.
These are an excellent pair of gloves if you are concerned with dexterity. There are a few issues that you should know about though. First the pros: The grip on these is excellent, even when wet. They are warm for their weight and protected my hands during a x-country ski trip last weekend. I even cut wood with them and they held up very well. The styling is very nice. The cons: They are tight at the wrist, meant to seal out the elements when paddling. The glove has a wrist strap and if I use it properly my hands tingle from blood flow restriction. I have to back it all the way to down to where the Velcro just barley holds. Also, the name is a little misleading, and being that they are neoprene one would guess that they are waterproof. They are not. In fact they soak water up easily. I used some spray on waterproofing though and they shed the water off now. However, if your hands sweat any, they don't wick moisture well and do get damp on the inside. Otherwise I really like them.

This item is great! Moved to OH from SC and this my first winter!!! Bought the gloves to stay warm yet functional as there is a certain amount of snow removal. The gloves are warm and even allow you to text w/little issue. The grips on the gloves are ideal for those mornings you're waving your ice-scraper. Buy the gloves and you won't be disappointed. Well worth it!

I used these gloves in the ToughMudder Challenge, an off-road 12-mile event with 19 obstacles, many of which involved water, mud and needing a good grip. The Hydroskin gloves were awesome, and kept my hands warm. When the race was over they cleaned up like new.
