Rated 3 out of 5 by sully3 Great light, burns out quickly
My husband loves the light that this flashlight throws. But the first one died within a month and batteries did not revive it. The second one lasted 10 months. We replaced the batteries 10 days ago and tonight it died again. Are we doing something wrong? I can't believe the lithium batteries can only last 10 days when we only use it for about 5 minutes a night. Is there a rechargeable option????
LLBean has been great about replacing these flashlights but if this third one stops working, we will not order another.
I could not recommend this after our experiences with it.

Love this flashlight! Fits easily into jacket pocket when making a quick trip outside with our golden retriever for her "evening constitutional" before retiring for the night. My one complaint is that it devours the relatively expensive 123A lithium batteries that are required to operate it. The label on the batteries themselves say "for high-drain devices" and, boy oh boy, they've got that right! On the other hand, the light it projects is absolutely BRILLIANT, and well worth the inconvenience of having to change the batteries often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chainsaw Excellent. A work of art.
Almost as bright as a four d-cell mag-light (with krypton bulbs) but at a fraction of the size. You have to get a box of the lithium batteries, its the price of doing business when you step up to these super powerful lights. I purchased the SureFire 6px for a $115 and I like the SureFire G2 better, it's much lighter, smaller, and it fits in your teeth better so you can work on generators, flat tires, and every other thing that breaks in the dark, and still have your hands free for tools. Get the yellow one so you can find it.

Have owned this light for about a year - has been very reliable. Have replaced the batteries only once (because I was not careful when turning it off).

Rated 3 out of 5 by suesox9 Disappointing
The beam I expected from this somewhat expensive flashlight was disappointing. It was no brighter than that I could get from a flashlight purchased at a drugstore. Although the description in size is accurate, I found it to be extremely small and thus difficult to locate in the darkness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TScottC GREAT light!
This is my second SureFire light. They work very well . My application is for when I walk my dog at night, I can cast a strong, narrow beam ahead of us to be sure there are no critters (skunks) about. Although the batteries are pricy , they perform well. I would like to see LLBean carry the recharging unit too. Thank you.

This wonderful little flashlight was marvelous at first: bright, convenient, small & I fell in love with it until, after not many uses, it burned out. Figured it might have been old batteries, put in 2 more $10 batteries, used it to feed the horses, maybe 5 minutes max a night for maybe 10 or 12 days and boom, no light. Am amazed that you can only use it 5 minutes per day for only 12 days and then you have to put out another 10 bucks for batteries. This is more disappointing than I can express,, as the flashlight is terrific, if only you could use it longer. I am hoping LL Bean will allow me to send it back. I am a longtime customer and this is the first item that has ever failed me! Thanks. Wendy

Rated 5 out of 5 by hunter480 Outstanding flashlight
I love all the Surefire flashlights, and this one is no different. I own several Surefire flashlights, plus one of the Surefire headlamps, and have given many, many Surefire flashlights as gifts to hunting buddies and family members. I use them for both hunting, and tactical purposes, they are rugged, dependable, and Surefire has a fantastic Customer Service Department and warranty. They`re extremely bright, and are a must have for home defense, and hunting and even camping applications. The only negative I have is that they require the Lithium batteries rather than off the store shelf AA batteries, so get a good supply of Surefire Lithium batteries as well so you always have plenty on hand. The good news is, their batteries have a 10 year shelf life.
Bottom line, Surefire products are tough, dependable lights and simply will not let you down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WeatherBird A great tool
This is the third SureFire flashlight I've owned. My 1st one had a metal body, but I prefer the plastic body on my last two. I like the bright yellow color (I lost my black metal one) and I can hold the plastic body in my teeth if I need my hands free. All of the lights have been bright and reliable.

Bought this light as a spare for camping trips. It is small enough for a pack to keep a emergency light. It gives out plenty of light. Now if I can only get it back from my grandaughter.
