Rated 3 out of 5 by RoseRed17 Great fit but...
I've been meaning to write this review for a while. My husband has 6 of these shirts and while the fit is great and they are stain resistant, they definitely fade and worse, develop a permanent crease at the hem. The bottom hem folds and the material is wrinkled and rolled up. Not a nice look. I did just purchase one of these in long sleeve to go with a pair of fleece pajama pants for him to lounge about in this winter but based on the latest reviews I'm not too hopeful about the quality.

I have used LL Bean clothing for over 50 years. Each item lasts almost forever, but when it wears out, I replace it. I just bought 4 new t-shirts to replace those I bought ten years ago. But the new ones are unacceptable, and I returned them. The company advertises that they are stain proof. I am sure they are. But that means they do not absorb moisture. I work hard in these shirts - cutting wood, exercising. I need a t-shirt that absorbs the moisture. These do not. All the sweat just drips down inside the shirt. I have washed them half a dozen times; the stain-repellant coating does not come off. If you want a dress t-shirt, these may work. If you want an undershirt, don't buy them

I like the T-shirt. I want to comment on color. Wish you could make same color in heather. It is extremely bright. It looks good with neutral colors of pants though. Doesn't look flattering when it is cold and face get red undertone. It intensifies the blush. Heathers, PLEASE! How about few shades of grey?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Slavicindesert Good T-shirt. Wierd Colors.
I got one in deep-water heather. The color is extremely different from the picture - it is very bright teal heather. I would be happy to find more heathers in blue, chocolate brown, blue and grey.
The weight of the cotton is perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by greg42 Don't make 'em like they used to
I bought three of these just a few weeks ago, and I ended up returning them. I noticed that compared to the four I had bought I think about two years earlier, the material was different. The main problem with the difference was that on the navy and black I purchased they retained more lint than my older shirt. But that alone was not enough to make return them.
I didn't really like the color of the gray heather, seemed too "yellow" to me for lack of a better way to describe it, but I figured I would use it for work in the yard or something.
But the final straw was in the wash the other day the bottom hem of one of the very new shirts unraveled and tightly strangled both the second new shirt that was in that load and a pair of pants. One of my shirts in the previous batch a couple years ago had also done this but not quite as quickly, and I returned it at that time. This time, since the two were wrapped together already, and the other irksome things above, I decided to cut my losses and return all three. I extracted the pants and returned the shirts as is so they could see what happened.
The other aspects I didn't like are just me being picky, but there's no excuse for a shirt coming apart after just a few normal washes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by beachdweller Good for certain things
The pros on this shirt are that it is well made, fits nicely, and looks good.
The cons are that it simply does not breathe or wick away moisture well enough for me. If you plan to wear it for exercising in, be prepared for that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ColdMichigander Sewn in tags on left side
I would only recommend these if you are going to wear them on the outside of your clothing. I have used them as undershirts in the last year and just gave them all to Goodwill and changed to another brand.
When you tuck the shirt in, the sewn in tags on the left side at the waist rub on my skin and cause a rash.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ppb121 good quality material, massive sizes
This shirt is quite comfortable, and has good thickness and quality. However, the sizes are HUGE. The last time I fit into a small at any other store, I was probably about 12. These days, I usually am a medium-large depending on the store. I was swimming in the medium I ordered.
I can't understand why they don't have more standard sizing. Suppose I'll have to exchange for a small.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DaDoc Can't wear during physical activity
I would have rated a 5 except you can't wear these in the summer or perform any type of physical activity. They don't breath at all or absorb sweat. I love the fit but I can't wear the short sleeve in the summer. The stain guard does not allow the shirts to breath. A cotton shirt should breath that's why you buy it. I would return if I could.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JDVS T-Shirt Changed, no longer a great shirt
The T Shirts I bought for my husband previously were great shirts, fit well, washed well, didn't shrink and had few wrinkles. Lately the newer ones did shrink and wrinkled a lot more. They seem to be a much looser knit.
