Rated 5 out of 5 Stop looking and buy this T
I have bought T-Shirts from other companies in the past, I won't in the future. The weight, the cut, and the durability. I wear these T's daily and wash them regularly and they retain their color and fit. You can find T's for less and you'll get what you paid for. Stop looking and buy this T.

The positives are that the shirt does not shrink or lose its color. The con is it does not breathe. It traps the moisture in. Horrible for hot weather. Other bean tee shirts are great. It's just something about the "care-free" line. Also, the sizing is very strange. I'm a medium in everything, but swim in this shirt, so I had to get a small.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BigFootCanada "Bacon" Collar
I like these shirts but....LL Bean has not yet found the solution to the "bacon" or wrinkly collar problem. After a few washes the collar develops wrinkles that remind me of the wrinkles in cooked bacon strips. It does not seem to matter if I dry the shirts outdoors, indoors, or in the dryer. All of these shirts eventually develop the wrinkled collar. I'm thinking of bundling up my half dozen shirts with this condition and returning them to LL Bean for a refund.

Quality seems fine but the sizing is way off. At 5'11 and 170 a small should not be baggy.

I bought this shirt a year ago -- it is durable but mine does not breathe. Perspiration gathers on the inside of the garment and runs down on my body. My t-shirt's material is hot in that regard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PinchersofPower Comfortable, excellent quality
Traditional Fit, Regular Length
Initial quality is great.
Material Thk - The thickness is medium. Just right, I would say.
Fit - These shirts run a little large. If you are borderline, like me, go with a size smaller than normal.
Neck - I like my neck to be snug. These are perfectly snug without being uncomfortable.
Length - The regular length is perfect for un-tucked. Looks nice.
Coating - I'm not sure what they coat these shirts with, but I like it. The coating will help keep your shirt stain free for some time.
Wrinkles - This shirt does not wrinkle easily. If it does, it comes out quickly.
Appearance - The fit and finish is excellent. Everything screams high quality.
Worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Makowa not breathable at all!.
I bought two of these and quickly found that they were not going to work for me.
either the carefree or wrinkle resistant treatment seriously keeps these shirts from having any breathability. anytime I sweat, it does not even penetrate the fabric, but instead soaks me completely on the inside.
also the treatment makes it hotter than it needs to be and then I end up wearing an uncomfortable and rubbery sauna suit like shirt.
if there was a way to make the fabric breathable so that it does not hold onto sweat, while still keeping the same stain proof guarantee, then that would be amazing.
otherwise I'm afraid that I cannot wear these since they are not good for warm weather or for any much hard work.

Until Bean tee shirts became "stain proof" they were very good. I don't know about you folks, but stains are the least of my worries. I want soft with a consistent fit. These shirts today are so stain proof when you throw them in the washer they float. In terms of the fit, they are inconsistent. Some are wide and boxy, others on the short side. It seems that different colors are manufactured in different countries, leading to a wide variety of fits. When they return to the old models they should be top notch. Luckily you can send these back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jnsdelucia quality not up to Bean standards
16 months, seldom worn, and it went in the Goodwill bag.
Collar darkened and frayed and curled up. I have bought literally dozens of Bean t-shirts of the past 10 years, and this one failed the quality test big-time.
