This t-shirt shrunk the very first time I put it through the washer and dryer. I line-drying delicates, but I expect t-shirts to go through the washer and dryer and still be wearable. The sleeves shrunk almost 2 inches and overall the shrinkage made this size L too small for me or any adult with average size arms.

I have bought these t-shirts for the past several years, however, the past 2 years, I ordered a large(I'm really a size medium) to have the sleeves roomy enough for my arms to fit in and be comfortable( I am quite an active person). Now, the description of the t-shirt, mentions that is won't lose it's shape "wash and wash". I got disappointed how it shrunk and the feel of the cotton is such a let down. Now I have to purchase an XL so that after wash, I hope it won't shrink too much.

I was very disappointed when I tried on my new size medium black long-sleeve crew neck shirt. The sleeves were above my wrist bone and the length was very short. Unflattering! I pulled out of my closet an earlier purchase of the same shirt in the apricot heather color, put the black shirt on top and discovered the black shirt was a full 2 inches shorter in overall length and 2 inches shorter in in the sleeve.
LL Bean, you can do better than this!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Flyersfan Sleeves are too short
Ordered this shirt in my usual size Medium, and it was too snug all around. Exchanged it for a Large, and unfortunately the sleeves are much too short and tight at the wrist. I'm 5'9" tall, 150 lbs., average-slender build. So I don't think my body size is the problem. I've read other comments about the shirt shrinking and the sleeves being too short. Very disappointed. LLBean designers, please take note! This shirt does not fit many of your customers correctly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by grand60 very comfortable sleeve length perfect
I really love these tees. They keep there shape and fit beautifully. Just one minor mishap. Accidentally put it in the dryer. Usually I hang all my Tees from LlBean to dry. Give'm a shake a looks great! I wear these all year round. Have some of each style. Not to heavy for under LlBean sweaters and on there own. I am 5ft 6 and wear a med. They fit like there cut me! Ordering more colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Copy Great fit before you wash it!!
I have purchased these tee's for years and have always loved them, until now. I bought 3 in Dec. 2013 and now the sleeves are way to short. I always have followed laundry instructions. I will try a larger size next time. I have always loved the quality and the durabilty of the cotton. I am a very active senior. I will continue to recommend to friends, however for a one size larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CosmicBlue Good Quality Tee
I ordered this tee because I wanted a simple tee in the cranberry color to wear under a sweater. I am happy with this purchase. It has a nice quality cotton that is smooth and unwrinkled out of the dryer. It isn't a heavy weight, but is perfect for layering. The finishing stitches around the collar, sleeves, and bottom are well done. I ordered my usual medium, but not petite. The sleeves were long until I washed as directed, now they are perfect, but I am 5'3" with short arms, so this may not work as well for someone with long arms. I liked this tee so well, that I ordered a second one in a lighter color.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Gerbils5 Very disappointed in this tee! :(
I bought 2 of these tees recently and when they arrived, I was very pleased. I washed them before wearing and I couldn't believe the shrinkage that occurred! Both tees shrank a least 2 inches in length. They weren't that long to start with. I guess this will be yet another knit top that will have to stay out of the dryer. Not sure yet, but I may return these. What happened to pre-washing to avoid shrinkage?
