Love the colors.
Love the soft fabric but....
I have had 4 of these for about 3 months and they have all shrunk so much in length in the arms and bodice that I don't ever wear them. The sleeves continually fall down my arms due to the fabric stretching out. I feel frumpy and baggy in them.
I have only washed these in cold water and dried on the lowest setting for 5 minutes, yet they have shrunk considerably. Too bad as the fabric and colors are lovely. Do NOT recommend. I have debated returning them, but have decided in lieu of the cost for a basic t-shirt,and the fact I never wear them anymore, I will be returning mine.

They shrink because they aren't nearly as substantial as they used to be. LL Bean - please bring back the old fabric, and please make them for plus sizes again!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JaneLLB nice quality, soft on the skin
I bought couple of these. Very happy with it. Plan to order couple of more. Feels so nice on the skin. The shrink is not an issue if you wash cold and dry at extra low heat with less dry setting. I am 100 lbs, 5'1', misses xs fits me perfect. Sometimes the color is off through. Wish has more color selections. Like to see the Rose Pink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Arizonalapswimmer Nice feel to the material, right fit, good colors.
Thinking that a tee shirt for $19.95 might be disappointing I ordered a cream to go with new olive safari pants. Very nice color, very nice feel to the fabric, good length. I am tallish. It arrived yesterday and inspired me to immediately order one in a pale aqua. Can't recall the fashion name for the color. Think it might be good also for the olive cargo pants. Or whatever for summer wear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MichelleFromIL Nice Shirt, Except for Shrinking
I like the weight and colors of this shirt. I bought it to coordinate with my fleece lined flannel shirts. I always wash in cold and hang to dry, but the shirts still shrunk lengthwise. Now when I reach over my head (on a plane or to get a glass out of the cupboard) my stomach shows.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KateZ Great fabric, terrible cut
This shirt definitely shrinks. I got these for basic layering in white and black and found the fabric to be soft and thick. You can't see through the white shirt, as is sometimes a problem. However, the cut of these shirts is very boxy. The length of the shirt in the hem and arms was perfect out of the bag, but shrank after the first wash and dry.I'm 5'5", 140lbs and purchased the medium. I'll still use these for their intended purpose. but not as flattering as I had hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JudithPoodith My go-to tee this Winter!
I felt I needed to review this long-sleeved tee, as they have been the shirts I have reached for on these frigid CT mornings, as a warm, and very comfy under-layer. I got these in the aquamarine heather, and the deep violet colors, and they are beautiful! But what really strikes me, is the thickness...almost somewhat of a cushioned feel to them, and I've already washed them (on delicate, since I do most of my tops on that setting) a few times.
I imagine they will be as nice to wear in Spring, on their own. Definitely recommend these tees!

Rated 4 out of 5 by JaneLLB very nice fabric, but color is off
I bought one and very happy with it. Nice fabric, feels nice on the skin. then I bought the Sunlit coral heather. the color is way off from the picture. Would give 5 stars.I hope LLBean could improve the color on the web.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanFanofGoretex Wonderful surprise - great shirt - love these!
I ordered 2 of these tees in light apricot heather and black in size large (my regular L.L.Bean size) to go with some L.L.Bean flannel shirts I bought last year. These will be perfect. Nice weight, great fit, nice sleeve and body length, and wash and dry well. I only left them in the dryer for about 15 min. and then hung to dry. Buying more of these for sure!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CaveatTalonWager Definitely shrinks...order one size UP
Based on the many other reviews that comment about how much this shirt shrinks, I ordered one size up to compensate for shrinkage. Of course the shirt was huge right out of the package, but I planned to wash (and dry) it before wearing it to see if it would stay or be sent back. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low. I have little tolerance for garments that have to be babied. One slip up where it accidentally ends up in the dryer and the thing is rendered unwearable. These are not inexpensive enough for that risk. This is why I ordered them too big in the beginning.
The shirt did shrink a bit, but from what I am reading, the shrinkage will continue for the next few washes, which is fine, as there is still plenty of room for that. Now I have to say that I don't like my t-shirts to fit right against my body, so the larger fit is fine. I actually like how it fists after the first wash and dry, but there is still room for more shrinkage...so this removes the worry.
I ordered three of these, Cornflower Blue, Barberry and Bold Orchid. I LOVE the blue and orchid, but the Barberry is a bit too brilliant for my taste so it is going back. The other two are staying.
The arms are very long on these, but after shrinkage they may end up being just right...we'll see.
It's really a shame to me about this shrinkage issue, as these shirts are made from really beautiful fabric...with a very pretty color selection and there is a substantial feel to the fabric. There is no reason that this same shirt couldn't be made from the same fabric, that is PRE-SHRUNK before manufacturing. There really is no excuse for this. I'm an LLBean die-hard...have had a closet full of Bean clothes for many years. I hope they can resolve this issue.
