I bought two of these rugs in the past year and love them. I'm about to buy another. They are attractive, durable, and great for kids to play on!

I just parted with an runner that I've had for 12 years that wore very well. Six weeks ago, I purchased another runner and a 7x9 when we moved. The runner has developed loose or broken yarns on the surface. The 7x9 had a couple smaller threads that I was able to pull through to the other side as I didn't think it was a good idea to cut them. LLB is going to replace the runner and do a wait/see on the 7X9. I love the rugs and hope this was just a blip in quality control.

I bought a wool oval and a chenille for use in kid rooms. The wool oval (in black and grey) is nice looking but the texture is hard and scratchy compared to the chenille which is much softer. I kept the chenille and sent back the wool. If you're looking for a beautiful soft braided rug, between the wool and the chenille, I'd recommend the chenille.

I have 3 Bean Braided Rugs. I have had them for many, many years. Recently my 126 lbs. Rottweiler had a seizure and when she has a seizure her bladder lets loose. My only option was to throw 2 of the rugs ( a runner and a small oval rug) in the washer. I was afraid it would ruin them but they came out beautifully.
I love my rugs.

We have 4 of these rugs, all oval, in different sizes, in a summer home that will be our retirement home. They looked very nice at first, but have not stood up well at all to our 2 lively dogs. I've spent hours mending the rugs, and we're at the home only 2-3 months per year. We are seriously considering replacing 2 of them, and at the cost of them, that's distressing. If the rug will be in a high traffic area, or if you have pets or young children, I would not recommend purchasing it. If it will be in a guest bedroom or other area not often used, it should be fine.

áby RhodeIslandHiker Bright and great fit
I bought the 7'x9' in bright multi about a year ago. I use it under my kitchen table with light foot traffic (no pets/no kids). The room is a little dark, no windows, which is why I decided to go for the bright multi. I am really happy with how the rug looks (very bright! rainbow of colors!). It also looks nice with the mix match of wood tones I have in my kitchen.
I haven't noticed any pulling of threads when I vacuum or braids coming apart that others complain of in their reviews, though it is important to note that the rug only sees light foot traffic in my space (no kids/no pets). Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I'd buy this rug again for my other spaces.

We bought the runner plus the 8 x 11. The runner is just fine. The large rug started developing pulls in the yarn after a few weeks.
Nothing terrible, but unsightly nevertheless.
Considering the high price, we would not buy them again.

Rated 1 out of 5áby Custus HORRIBLE - POOR QUALITY
I am shocked by the glowing recommendations for this rug. I have received two (one as a replacement) of these rugs and both have completely come undone and unraveled. The rug is in our home office and does not experience a lot of traffic. The braids have disconnected from each other and the rug has simply fallen apart. Needless to say this is not of the quality I have come to expect from LL Bean. ONe rug returned...the second rug in the trash. Look elsewhere when purchasing a braided rug.

I spent a good deal of money on a 5x8 oval rug, in the 'honey multi' color scheme. The rug was beautiful. It is durable- we've had two dogs and it is in a high traffic area, and it has physically held up. After two years, though, it has faded incredibly. It is not really subject to sun fading, as it is shaded in our living room, and only a small part of it gets sun daily. In the area that gets no sun, we have a coffee table that is an old blanket chest, so it is flush to the floor - and when we move it, the color difference is incredibly noticeable. It used to be brown and red with some green, but it has faded to pink and light green and the brown has all but disappeared. I would expect this to happen after many many years, but not after two. I wouldn't spend the $600-ish again. Disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5áby ravpug Great Rug with one exception
I love these rugs!! I own two of the 5 by 8 ones and one of the 7 by 9 ones. The colors are great, they are easy to spot clean and vacuum. The only complaint I have is that the braiding has separated on my oldest rug. It was used in a high traffic area, the kitchen, and after about 4-5 years it began to separate in several places. I could probably take it somewhere and have it sewed back together but it is so big I have just not done it. I would recommend the rug but just realize if used in a high traffic area it may not last as long as you would expect.
