I haven't slept on these sheets, as I bought them for our guest room, but they're a nice crisp cotton. I love the old fashioned look of the crocheted accent. They washed nicely. Just the quality I expect from LL Bean.

I have been a LLbean shopper for many years, and I will say that this is the first time I have been disappointed in a product. The sheets look lovely, but even after 2 washings and use of fabric softener, it is like sleeping on sandpaper. They are scratchy and uncomfortable. They wrinkle very easily, and I am not one to iron sheets. They go on the bed as they come out of the dryer and these definitely do not make the cut. Save your money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AARA Love them, but they use to be of better
Let me start by saying i love the sheets. However, i love the original set I purchased about 10 years ago are far better. If they had not finally ripped I would still be using them today.
The first set I had were of a slightly heavier material, and a little bit bigger all around, so a much better fit on my thick mattress.
The new pair cost much more then the original, do not fit quite as nicely, and I fear will not hold up as well.
Only time will tel.

These sheets feel great and are so elegant. I have a shabby chic kind of comforter, so they make my bed set look even better! As with everything I've bought from LL Bean, the quality is great, and I imagine that I will have these sheets for years to come!

I really do like the sheet set, however there was an issue with the pillowcases. The hem on the back side of the pillowcases was not sewn to the pillowcase and therefore hung down outside the pillowcase on the back half and did not look appealing. I has also purchased an extra set of pillowcases and found the same issue with them. Because I do like the sheet set I took the 4 pillowcases to a place that does alterations and had the bottom of the pillowcase sewn to the pillowcase (I don't have a sewing machine). The sheet set and extra pillowcases were expensive and I had the added expense of alternation costs so this was a disappointment. This has been my first disappointment with L.L. Bean products and is out of the norm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by comfyme1 Just amazing!
I recently purchased a set of Queen size Heirloom Crocheted Sheets at the LLBean store in Freeport Maine. It was my first LLBean purchase of sheets so I didn't really know what to expect. My, what an amazing surprise! They are soft and smooth but still have the crispness of the old percale sheets of my youth. I am sleeping like a queen on my new Queen sheets! Thank you LLBean. I'll be back for more!

Rated 3 out of 5 by AmyVF Pillowcases too big
I ordered a King-sized set and wanted standard-sized pillowcases...came with King-sized pillowcases; first time I've been disappointed with LLBean in a long, long time. I need to return the entire set now.

They are exactly as described. I am very pleased. They work well with a quilted bedspread.

Saw some of the other unhappy reviews. I am not unhappy with this product at all. The sheets wrinkle no more than other sheets, and certainly are comfortable to sleep in. The are beautiful on our bed and make it look more like an old fashioned bed. We have wood floors and with the crocheted eyelet sweeping down to the floor it really adds character to the bed. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

This sheet set is truly beautiful and seem to be very sturdy. But there are problems. They come out of the packaging VERY wrinkled and the wrinkles do not smooth out. Perhaps after they are washed and heavily starched with industrial strength starch in a drum they'll be better. I sort of doubt it. I bought two of the "Full" sized sheet sets. The Pillow Cases are more like they are for Queen Sized Pillows and are way too big for my full sized pillows. Not only that but they have seams on both edges. Is this how they make pillow cases now? My mom would be horrified if she were still alive. On the back, the end seams are not even sewed down so that they look pretty awful when you put the pillows on the bed. You have to pull the bottom end up and tuck it in under the top crocheted part ... which by the way is only on the top of the pillow case and doesn't go all the way round. In order for these to look nice I'll have to have them taylored. Very pleased with the beauty and very disgusted with the drawbacks.
