I bought the console and was very happy with it especially after reading the reviews. It does require two people to put together but is very sturdy and attractive when completed. Other reviews states that the side shelves are too small to hold books but all that has to be done is to put in fewer side shelves which is not a problem and then taller books are easily accommodated. I have a "cottage size" home and this piece fits perfectly in the dining room. I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks LLBean.

The 'Light Mission' finish #as it appears on the web page# is a brownish shade. The finish of the console recieved, is an orangish shade. Had I known that, I would have ordered the darker finish. Other than that, the console is an excellent buy and is very easy to assemble #phillips head screwdriver and hammer#.

I chose this item for the Mission style and that it is made in USA and of real wood!! I use it as a TV console and was able to store my cd player (had to leave out one middle shelf) and my dvd player on as well which is what I hoped for! It stores cd/dvds well but side shelves too small for much else. The drawer does not pull out straight and feels a little flimsy but will store remotes and keys!! Dark finish and style of piece are handsome and look very nice in our paneled den, size fits in very well too. I do feel that item is overpriced a bit but am still happy with it.

I bought this console to replace a book case. Looking at the picture, I thought books would fit on it but there is no way unless they are miniatures. The picture on the instructions shows books in the side shelves but, in reality, they are only tall enough to hold CD's. The only thing you can "store" on this is music, paperbacks and knick-knacks. Useless.

This piece of furniture is good looking and functional, except for a design flaw; the drawer goes off track almost every time it is pulled out, and has to be realigned. I like it, but I regret that I don't love it.

Perfect size, height and shelving for a portable CD player and a couple hundred CDs. Good quality wood and finish. Easy to put together. A nice addition to the rest of my Mission furniture. Makes my cabin look homey.

I recently bought the large console for under a wall mounted tv in my bedroom. The light color is a nice medium pecan color and it worked perfectly for my home decor. The instructions were easy to follow. I assembled the console myself in one hour. I agree with other reviewers that the small drawer wooden drawer slides seem to be a little too narrow....still the drawer works, but I wouldn't put too much in it. Overall I am very happy with the look of the piece. It looks very handsome and the wooden pegs to cover the screw holes look great! I am interested in more "mission" items from LL Bean.

Absolutely adore our new console. Easily assembled (don't use young child as your helper) and the parts were a perfect fit. Might suggest that the drawer would be better if it had a stop to prevent pulling it too far out. We use it to store games, cards, and a few books in the rec room. Finish is very nice and we're happy with the unit. Also it is made in the USA.

This storage console (?awkward name) works well, looks good, and was very easy to assemble. One thing that wasn't clear from the catalog description is that the small size looks just like the picture, with the same number of shelves as the larger size. The center section is just over 12" wide between verticals and the end bays are 7" wide.
