Rated 5 out of 5 by mkzee Great Fit and Does What It Says!
I had shoulder surgery 6 months ago and wanted to test my shoulder before committing to a summer of trap shooting. Ordered Limbsaver recoil pad instead of a permanently mounted pad to prevent the modifications to shotgun stock. Measurements were right on and sized Limbsaver went on and fit well. Went to range to practice and pad fit shoulder well and reduced felt recoil significantly. I like the fact that as my recovery continues, I can remove the pad without having had altered my gun. I can also easily move it to another gun if I decide that it has become a permanent part of my overall shooting sports.

Purchased this for a shotgun I cut down for home defense as I will be firing Federal Personal Defense #4 Buckshot and #3 Buckshot exclusively. After measuring the stock butt plate with old recoil pad off I carefully chose the correct size from the manufacturer size data as I wanted a tight fit. The measurements given with product are on target so don't oversize from their description. Fits like a glove,,!! I fired 50 rounds of #6 bird-shot through the gun to help break it in before firing a combo of 25 #4 & #3 buckshot. This little pad gets the job done as it "tamed the beast". The recoil from the birdshot (field load)was almost non existent and frankly.. the buckshot wasn't much more noticeable. I perfer this pad over one of the tactical stocks with tauted spring loaded recoil reduction as they have a tendency twist when fired making it more difficult to get back on target for a follow up due to twist. Those type stocks IMO also change direction of recoil giving you a hard jolt in the cheek often with buckshot in lieu of straight back to the shoulder where the recoil should go from my experience. Would love to have had one of these on my sniper rifle with 75th Ranger Reg. in Vietnam.. Bottom line.. Great Recoil Pad im my opinion...

Rated 5 out of 5 by SportingShooter Good fit and function
After measuring the stock according to the instructions, I selected a Medium. It fits my 30 year-old Remington 1100 shotgun perfectly. The reduction in felt recoil on the 12 gauge is significant. After about 100 rounds of Sporting Clays, the recoil pad had to be re-seated a bit, but this was not a problem.
The texture of the pad is such that it is non-slip on the shoulder, but takes some getting used to bringing the butt of the stock from under your armpit to your shoulder (until you adjust your mounting technique slightly, the rubber texture may drag on your clothing).

Fits as advertised, very comfortable, and it is definitely a limp saver on a 12 gauge.

I bought the medium for a Mossberg 12 gauge Silver Reserve. Needed longer LOP and less recoil; this did the trick at a fraction of the cost of what a gunsmith wanted.
Fits snug and very happy with the purchase.

The Limbsaver slip on recoil pad is a perfect fit on my Mossberg 835 (large). Snug and stable.Just measure your buttstock and order from 3 sizes. The 1" thick pad reduces the felt recoil on the 3 1/2" #4's I use during Spring Gobbler season. Huge improvement. I installed it over the factory pad because I need the extra LOP. This is a fine product and I plan to order one for a second shotgun.

Placed this directly on Remington Model 7. Made a HUGE difference in the recoil. Fit well and very functional. Highly recommended.

This slip-on recoil pad really does save my limb. I'm old and boney and this makes shooting my rifle pleasant.

I bought the small size Limbsaver to lengthen the stock on my Parker 28 GA double, and the extra 1" makes this classic a very shootable grouse gun for me. The fit is excellent, the dark color blends with the stock, and the pad gives some overall protection to the butt of the gun.
