Rated 5 out of 5�by Mountainsteve Great Company I bought this knife in about 1983 or 1985. Skinned many a deer with it. Broke the tip off in about 1993 and sent it back to Buck for repair with a story of how it had many memories and was my favorite knife. It was my careless fault that I broke the tip. They replaced the blade, polished the brass and sent it back at no charge in as new condition. Great knife and an incredible company. Still my favorite knife and I collect all kinds of expensive knives. April 24, 2013

The men were excited to get them and several mentioned they had these knives previously and that the knives were excellent! Everyone liked the fact that it had a locking blade. Rated 4 out of 5�by JCCShopper A classic Knife with no need to aplogize This buck knife has been around for years. Once upon a time it set the standard for lockback knives. Other manufacturers have come along with better steel and lighter handles but they all come with higher price tags. The cutback blade is functional and the price is great. It is a good knife that you can use day in and day out and if it becomes worn or lost yocan get another. I have a lot of high priced knives but I don't use them much. This is good looking knife to use. It is a bit heavy and if much more comfortable on your belt than in your pocket. There is a smaller version if that is an issue. It is not flashy but it is solid with not need to aplogize because it is a classic. September 20, 2012
