I just purchased these gloves and love them. May send a pair to my sister for Christmas. Warm and practical. Just the ticket.

These gloves may block wind but they do not block cold. In relatively mild WI temperatures in the upper thirties, my figers turned numb. The lining is flimsy and the leather fingers absorb the cold. They are too snug to wear a 2nd pair underneath. I gave them to my daughter. She didn't want them either.

I deliver mail in Nebraska. I love these gloves because they keep the wind out. I wear them every day in the winter. On really cold days, I wear a thin liner underneath and still have the same maneuverability with my fingers. The grippy fingers work well for separating pieces of mail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StarryHillVT Good, practical glove that wears well, looks great
This is a great basic pair of black gloves---made well, warm, and perfect to grab as you run outside on a cold day. I wear them as a casual-dress glove or as a casual glove with a fleece or ski jacket.
Bought my third pair in ten years, so they do last a decent amount of time with normal to rough use (admittedly I've done chores with them!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by biobeanie Good Grip and a Beautiful Color
These Fit Like a Glove. Sorry... I had to say that.
But really, these gloves are substantial. I wouldn't stand outside in a blizzard with them on but they are perfect for driving and walking in to work. The grippy part is perfect. The color (purple) is really nice. I like the elastic at the wrists. The thumb is a bit long but not enough to be a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Live4Today Well fitting and warm.
I love the fitted nature of these gloves. And for their bulk (midweight), they are very warm in comparison to other gloves I have that are even bulkier. I appreciate the elastic at the wrist which keeps clothing tucked in and cold and snow out. Love them and very pleased with their quality and performance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PetRescueMom Not Adequate for Even Moderate Winter Temperatures
I should have paid more attention to the earlier reviews before purchasing these gloves. I suffer from Reynaud?s Disease, and my hands and fingers are especially sensitive to cold temperatures. I don?t live in a particularly cold climate (mid-Atlantic state), but we do get our share of chilly winter days. I wore these gloves when walking my dogs on a 40-ish degree day with no wind or rain, and my fingers became cold and painful within 10 minutes of leaving the house. I have worn the gloves with silk glove liners while playing with the dogs in the yard in similar temperatures with basically the same result; i.e., my hands became uncomfortably cold within about 15 minutes. I will keep these gloves because they are adequate for driving, given the gripper fabric on the palms. But I?m still looking for a pair of winter gloves that will keep my hands comfortable while I?m enjoying the outdoors with my dogs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SharonfromHayward Warm, comforable gloves
This pair is my second Wind Challenger pair. They perform as well as the first, keeping my hands relatively comfortable in quite cold California winter weather. The fit seems a bit more snug than the first pair, which is fine with me. The tighter elastic at the wrist should be more effective at retaining body heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Willowisp Too short!
These seem like really nice gloves, but I have large hands and even though the width sizing was right on, they were too short on both the finger length and the overall length. I found out the men's are slightly longer so have ordered them in hopes they will work.
