Rated 5 out of 5 by TomsRiverGardener Comfortable and great length
This turtleneck is so soft against my skin, and the neck scrunches nicely. The fit is perfect, and the length is perfect for staying tucked in. I love the hemmed sleeves (rather than stitched on cuffs) so that I can wear it for casual or dress wear. It's worth paying the extra cost over the competitor's product.

It is very silky and cool enough for summer
I just wish you made more sizes and also a line for men. Even so I will purchase more.

This is a slightly more refined turtleneck, and one that's softer. The purple is indeed "rich."

Rated 5 out of 5 by GreyhoundTrainer So soft and nice colors
My skin is so sensitive, that I can't even wear most 100% cotton shirts on the market. This cotton is absolutely wonderful, and also seems very durable. I will probably be wearing these for the next 15 years! I love the colors.

The neck on this shirt is too big. I like turtlenecks to fit close to the neck. Nice fabric and construction though.

The cobalt blue is a beautiful color, and has not faded or shrunk with multiple washings. Disagree w/other poster who said colors are unsophisticated, and for children -- I love the variety of vibrant colors, and am happy to see something other than neutrals and earth tones! The turtleneck is super soft, with a neck that has a great scrunch - neither too tight nor too loose.
It is lighter weight than many of my other turtlenecks, but material is not flimsy. Perfect for layering. I ordered a size up, and was happy I did. It is a little roomy, but so comfy, and long enough to stay tucked in.

I think this a good product; comfortable, easy to wash, minimal shrinkage. However, the colors offered are--- except for the basic black, white, and cream----unsophisticated, more suitable for little girls than women.
You make the same tee for men in subtle, wearable colors like gray, teal, rust. Stop with the paint-by-numbers stuff!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MidnightBlue not like they used to be
I still give this item 4 stars due to the soft pima cotton (which is better than any other retailers I have tried) & neck style, but would be 2-3 stars in other ways. Mind you I would never have even tried others if Bean had kept the consistent sizing and quality from years ago. I have literally hundreds of pima tees (been buying for over 20 years) in every style made. I have ones from 10 years ago I still wear.
What has happened in the last few years? There is now excessive shrinkage! I love the all-cotton, and don't even like really long tees, but these become unwearable; you needed to make longer to allow for this. They only shrink in length, not width so going up a size doens't help. Also the cut changes every year (I've remained the exact same size but some years take a med, though they are always too wide then, and some a small, though sometimes they are then too tight in the upper arm or across neck or shoulders). I am 5'5 1/2 and 126 pounds (same since I started buying form Bean). I used to be able to count on size small tees and size 10 (or Medium) pants. Now that rarely works.
I've also tried the 'bean tees' but same problem (shrink in length excessively but not width). Please please please go back to your former high-quality & consistency. I used to buy all my clothes at Bean (also for my husband) but am increasingly frustrated. Great customer service but tired of having to return so much.

This is a wardrobe staple - why on earth would you discontinue these in women's plus sizes???
