Rated 5 out of 5 by HeritageAngler The ultimate warm weather wading jacket.
Worn in combination with a long sleeve "tropical" style shirt, this jacket is the ultimate warm weather wading jacket. It breathes better than anything else I've worn, and the design is superb at keeping you dry in even the most torrential downpours.
Freedom of movement is awesome, and the quality of construction is really impressive.
This jacket is extremely light weight, but with proper layering, it'll do a great job as a 4 season wading jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jryder great jacket, odd sizing
I actually purchased this jacket for canoeing. Because of the short waist it works well when sitting in a canoe and paddling. And the water resistant cuffs also work well for paddling. I like the stowaway hood, as i often use a rain hat unless the rain is extremely heavy. the front pockets are large and very useful. Very much like the Goretex quality.
However, the sizing is strange. I am 6-1, 230 lbs, with a 38 inch waist and take a 16 1/2 collar 35 inch sleeve shirt. I normally take a Large shirt or jacket, and an extra large jacket when I know I'm going to be layering other clothing under the jacket. For this jacket I ended up after an exchange with a Tall Extra Extra Large, as the Tall Extra Large was too tight in the shoulders.

This is a light and comfortable jacket to carry and wear for summer showers. It would proably work well in a heavy rain, but I am not that dedicated yet. When I am it might rate a fifth star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marmota A little too snug
A size XL reg. in LLB clothing normally fits me fine. But this jacket is snugger than I would like, especially for wearing over neoprene waders and fleece. For cold weather, I would suggest ordering up one size. Otherwise it is a decent jacket and very light, which is what I was looking for: something that stows away in the back of my vest for unexpected downpours..

I've been using this jacket for a couple of seasons now. Good cuffs, good hood, good pockets.
Be aware that this shell is completely unlined and will get a little clammy. This is totally unavoidable and expected with unlined foul weather gear.
I'm giving points off because the large bellows pockets lack drains. I've noticed the same thing with some of Bean's fishing vests. If you're not occasionally getting water in your pockets you're not seeing enough of the river. All gear like this should have drain grommets without exception.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tbuster Excellent Jacket
Must have for the outdoors , extremely light , packable and ample pockets. Fishing in the early season this year the lined handwarmer pockets were a life saver. It's also is a good windbraker. I really like the idea that the hood tucks into the collar and you can zip the front up high on the neck. A good all around jacket for those rainy or windy days outdoors.

This is a must have jacket for fishing. It is very well made, light weight has nice pockets for fly boxes, leaders, tippets. The back has a D ring for a net attachment.
This is a good price for a gore-tex jacket
which is great in the rain.

I wear my wading jacket about 200 days a year. Fly fishing the surf is a wet sport at times and this jacket protects me from rain, surf and sun. Lightweight, big pockets with Velcro, plastic zipper and sleeves that close tight perfect for fishing. All my friends I fish with use this jacket because it works!

Rated 4 out of 5 by SipseyHiker Good, but too short
I love everything about this jacket, except that it's just a couple of inches too short. Maybe it is designed that way for wading/fishing purposes, but I use it as an every day rain jacket or while hiking.
I am not a tall person and this jacket rides just at or above my belt. As a result, I find myself constantly tugging the hem down. Further, the length makes it hard to take advantage of the jacket's best feature -- the fleece-lined pockets. The openings for the pockets are sort of around to the side and the fact that the jacket rides high makes it difficult to get my hands around to where the pockets open.
Other than that, I really, really love this jacket and I'd give it 10 stars if it were just a couple of inches longer.
