Urbanamom River Tested Fly Girl Approved
I bought this jacket two weeks ago because I wanted something light for spring fly fishing. We planned a fly fishing trip to West Virginia over Easter. I knew this jacket would be great in the spring but what about snow and 40 degree water.. I did not want to take a few jackets, I wanted to take one or two with me..I needed another jacket to layer under it for the cold elements...I ended up ordering the thinsulate exercise jacket from llbean...had it shipped to my destination this week...let me tell you that I was out on the river fly fishing in the snow and I stayed warm and dry...great jacket and this will be my go to jacket for all seasons...this jacket is waterproof and I love the cuffs...no more wet sleeves...easily fits in my vest for those rainy days

This jacket is fabulous! I just returned from the UK where I was out doors for hours watching the London 2012 Olympics for free! I had rain, sun, heat, cold and I was comfortable the whole time. When I was warm it easily came off and stored or tied around my waist as it is very light. I found the jacket runs on the big side; I easily fit my fleece jacket underneath. The roll in hood to collar is great. When rolled in it looks good and is not lumpy against the neck. The front pockets are huge. I fit a water bottle, maps, food. Big shout out of praise for this jacket.

troutlady Great jacket/Great value
I'm an avid trout angler and log 60 plus days on the water a year. Just purchased one of these to replace the one I have been using for the last 6 years. That one is still functional and will be my backup.
These jackets have all the features you need for flyfishing and are very light-perfect on it's own on warm rainy days and over layers on the cold, windy days.
My only issue with my first jacket was the color, a light tan, and wished it came in a drabber green like the men's version. Wish granted!!
This jacket is way better than the $300 plus jackets out there. Great value.

This is just a great waterproof wading jacket for women as well as for the men, in their style category.
Lightweight, Goretex, very impressive, and hey, you don't get wet! That's what a Goretex wading jacket is supposed to do, right?
Five stars for this jacket, as well as five stars for my husband's jacket.
Top notch! Buy it if you need a breathable waterproof non heavy wading jacket. You won't be sorry.

Thank you, LL for this jacket. It fits well and sheds water like a duck in the rain. Used it this year on the Ausable River and it performed admirably. It is light enough to use in the summer rain yet roomy enough to put a layer underneath. The sleeves work well and keep out the water even when you put your arm in the water to remove the hook from a trout. Good job, LL BEAN. Highly recommended

Wife is guiding partner. She loves this jacket. After 200+ days on the water, still looks new. This is the second one, bought as a backup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrookieBrownBow Great Jacket for the Money
It's too bad when reviewers use a product in a way it was not intended to be used, then give it a low rating. This is not a photography vest, it's a fishing jacket. And it's a GREAT fishing jacket. Keeps me dry and packs down small to fit in my vest so I'm always prepared for wet or windy weather. I highly reccommend it.

My husband and I each own these
jackets. They fit perfectly, keep you
dry in the heaviest of down pours, and
the Gore-Tex works great. Generous
size chest pockets hold tons of gear,
but fold flat when not in use. Money
well spent!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LKShop great jacket but not what I needed
I am looking for a photographer's jacket that can be converted into a vest with zip off sleeves, so it serves dual purpose. I liked the idea that this jacket was Goretex, and would love that in a convertible jacket/vest. I would also like a removable or stowable hood and all the other features of this jacket. I would have settled for this jacket, however, there were not enough pockets for my purposes. And no one makes the jacket/vest I need....maybe LLBean will read this and make me one!
