Great idea, keeps lead out of the environment. i fished in several different conditions with this material a few weeks ago and at times it was fine, at other times hard to work with. A so-so compromise to protect the land from shot.

It's not that common for a "green" product to be better than what it's replacing but this tungsten putty meets that criteria. Tungsten is almost twice as heavy as lead. If it breaks off it just lies on the bottom of the stream like a pebble, no pollution of the water. Since the user can easily adjust the quantity it's versatile, split shot requires a tool to attach it. Soft weight can be molded into a 'bullet" shape to better streamline your offering. When you're done fishing you can remove the putty and save it for another day. If you're fishing in cold temps keeping the container in a shirt pocket keeps it flexible. Better than lead putty and much better than split shot.

As crazy as managing split shot with my giant, sausage-fingers makes me; having the residue from this product all over my hands and fly rod is worse.
For sure this is decent weight but I have found its inevitablely too warm (gooey mess) or too cold (impossible to mold) and with out fail it leaves a highly tacky residue on your fingers.
Not a solution to the frustrations of split shot.

The stuff is great and the case while cheap makes a great extra box for streamers.
The extra clip is durable and is great as an extra.

Perhaps in the right hands this product is excellent. I heard a lot of folks say they like it. I find it a bit cumbersome to deal with, ie, not so much easier that split shot that I need to carry it.
It might be me, but it did come off my line when I was casting.
In the end, it's probably good for some, but not me.
