I searched high and low for the best first aid kit for my search and rescue dog. I wanted to feel prepared to face any situation miles from our outpost and or car and this kit is it! All other kits I found had for example one swab of iodine where as this kit has an entire bottle and an applicator for multiple uses. It is heavier than I was expecting but fits great inside my day pack for hikes or searches. I feel confident that this pack will help me get my dog through anything out in the field.

Not too long ago my Lab got injured in the field after a morning hunt. At the time I didn't have anything in hand to help meet her immediate needs for first aid. Now that I have this bag, I feel confident and secure that if anything like this were to happen again--I'll be ready!
Great design too! Efficient in size, stores easily in the gun box of the boat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RomanMom Everything we need
I bought one of these several years ago and it came in handy for the random minor injuries that happen to very active dogs. It has pretty-much everything you need. Because supplies were getting low, I'd looked into replacing some of the ointments and bandages, and it was actually less expensive to just buy a whole new kit. One thing I noticed is that the bags now are slightly smaller than they used to be, but still jam-packed with all the essentials. It's a great value for all you get with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NewEnglandShopper777 Has almost everything
This is a very small, compact case that comes with most of the essentials needed for possible dog first aid. I got it with the intention of bringing it with me whenever we travel (we travel with 2 dogs) and to our family cabin on a lake-you never know what can happen in the wilderness. I have put kits together myself but this is so compact I can grab it and move it between places easily making it worth it. I give this 4 instead of 5 stars because it does not include a muzzle-a very important item for potentially distressed puppies. I use a soft muzzle whenever taking a tick off my dog or something of the sort.

I couldn't believe the kit when I got it. It is very complete. Everything in there is what I should need to help my Chihuahuas. Love it!!

We have not had the opportunity to use the first aid kit yet( which is fortunate)
The carrying case is compact but too big to bring on a hike.It is best left in the car with the hope that you are not too distant from the car if something happens.
The kit seems quite complete with one notable exception- a clotting agent to stem bleeding would be essential.
All in all, We hope we never have to use it .
Fair, but not great value for the money.

I hope we never need to use this kit, but we feel better with it in our possession. Great carrying bag and the supplies are significant to include a skin stapler. There is still room to add your own touches like dog specific medications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JTech More comprehensive than I imagined.
While looking around for a good dog first aid kit, I was surprised to find this one on LLBean. When it arrived my first thought was the size of the kit. The bag itself is very robust, and well made, but the real treat lies inside it. On opening, I find one of the most comprehensive pet first aid kits I have ever seen. I am not a vet, but this kit gives me the confidence to be an acceptable pet paramedic until I can get to a veterinarian.

At first I was a little skeptical, but I read a few good reviews. So, I made my purchase.
Received it quickly, as I would expect no less from LL Bean, and promptly took it to to my Vet, as did another guy. My Vet was impressed, as she had never seen this kit before, but said it's the same brands she uses and gave it the thumbs up. She did say I needed to add a large paid of closure tweezers to aid in using the stapler if needed, but all in all, she was impressed.
So far I haven't had to use it, but it is nice to know I have the right stuff.
On a side note, I would like to see more pictures in the book, but it is written well enough, and has the needed information in Layman's terms)
