Rated 5 out of 5 by tlynnb I'm impressed!
I am so thrilled I ordered these boots. I did have to wait over a month to get them but I was made aware straight away they were on backorder and they actually arrived ahead of the anticipated delivery date. I read countless reviews and followed the sizing recommendations and ordered down though I was a bit nervous to do so. I am a size 8.5 or 9 and ordered a size 8. When they arrived I held my breath half expecting my foot wouldn't go in the boot but thankfully I had no problems and they fit perfectly. They are so well made and expect I will be wearing these for years to come. I am so impressed with this boot and wish it didn't take me so long to order a pair!

I made the mistake last year by waiting until December to order my Bean boots. They were on backorder until March, so I wouldn't have them in time for winter (I live in the south so "winter" is quite a short time period), but I would have them for this winter. I looked at it as planning far in advance rather than being late. Based on almost all of the reviews, I ordered down to a size 7; I am almost always an 8 in regular shoes. Right after I ordered the 7, I decided to also order an 8 so I could compare, and I wouldn't have to wait for the 8 if I decided that the 7s were too small. The boots arrived in late March, and they were very nice right out of the box, as everyone states. The 7s were very difficult to get on because of the sewn-in tongue (which I appreciate the reason they're sewn in; I know some complain about it). They seemed to fit ok in the length with thick socks. The 8s were much easier to get on, and they seemed a little roomier with the thick socks on. In the end, I kept the 8s, opting to size up than down. The 7s were really difficult to get on, and I didn't want to battle that every time I wanted to wear the boots. I just wore them for the first time a few weeks ago, and I am glad I sized up. I can see how for most people you should size down, but for me, I liked the ease of the bigger size. I will definitely have to wear thick socks, but that's fine as I can't see myself wearing a thin sock with this type of boot. I'm going to Scotland soon, and I can't wait to wear them on the trip with my Bean Scotch plaid flannels! Love my Bean products, and these are no exception. I expect to have these for years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MichiganBean10 Great Boots But Huge!
I ordered these in June to avoid the crazy backordering issues. I got them within a week or two of my order. They are beautiful boots and SO well made. It is a little difficult to get my foot into the boot but it is not too big of a deal. I wouldn't wear them in a situation where I needed to get my boots on/off multiple times in a day (for example, shopping).
The sizing is a little weird. I usually wear a 6.5-7 and have a very wide foot. After reading all of the reviews and figuring out my Bean Boot size, I decided to order a 6 Wide. The width is perfect - I can wear with midweight or heavyweight socks and am very comfortable. However, the size 6 (the smallest size they come in) are still a little too big, even with heavy wool socks. I still love them and will get a lot of wear out of them, but I hope I don't get any blisters from the boots being too big. Would definitely rather have too much room versus not enough.

These boots are fantastic. Pay attention to the sizing information - they know of which they speak. I typically take a 81/2 -9 in a regular street shoe but I sized down to an 8. They fit perfectly with a semi-thick sock. Unless you live in the klondike or experience very cold winters, the least expensive one's are just fine. I was also pleased with the delivery time. The information was that I would have to wait until early to mid November to receive them but still received them in October, not very long after they were ordered. These are great boots.

Just got my bean boots today after being backordered for over a month. With that being said, they came in a week earlier than expected! I am a size 6.5-7 (size 7 in boots) and I got a size 6. They fit perfectly! There is even room for thick socks. The quality and comfort of these boots are worth so much more than the price. It cannot be beat. Get yourself some! Practical and trendy...what more could you want?

I wore these through the hurricane in SC this year and they were phenominal. Great support, comfortable, and cozy. Definitely follow the sizing guide - I went a full size down and am very happy. The only reason I would knock them would be the time it takes to get them on because the tongue is attached all the way up the boot. On the other hand, if this wasn't the design, they wouldn't be completely waterproof! I'd buy them again and again!

The first boots of this type I can actually wear. I must have a lower ankle bone because others have rubbed my ankle raw where the rubber bottom meets the leather top. I'm an 8 1/2 and bought the 8 wide and they are perfect.

I got these in the mail this week after ordering them a month ago, and they are so nice! I have only had a chance to wear them around the house, but the bottom of the boot is very comfortable, and it came with arch supports.
I wear a size 7 1/2 normally, sometimes a 7, and I ordered a 6 with normal width. The boots fit perfectly. I had bunion surgery on both of my feet, and needed something with a wide enough foot bed to not bother these areas. The boots are just big enough that they are not rubbing my feet in bad places, but not so big that my feet and moving around too much.
Overall quality is great. The leather upper is very stiff and will take some time to break in and soften up. It is somewhat difficult to get your foot in but it's doable. The boot is much lighter (in weight) than I expected. The boots are super cute on, and the blue color is nice. Completely worth the wait and the money!

I normally wear a 7 B shoe and a 6 1/2 B boot. Ordered these in a 6 B & they fit like a 7 1/2 D shoe would on me. Plenty of room for extra thick socks, but not too much. Very comfortable. A little difficult to pull on and off, but will get easier when the leather wears in a bit. I've had plenty of practice with two weeks of endless rain in NC. They were well worth the four month wait and I expect to get many years of wear out of them & look good doing it! Bonus: Made in USA

I purchased these boots for my daughter's birthday. She has wanted them fo a while so we read the reviews and followed sizing guidelines. No matter how we tried, she could not get the boot on. Very disappointed, had to send them back. We're not going to order larger size because she's concerned that because of her high instep she will still have trouble getting them on. So sad because she really loves these boots.
