I have worn the pants several times since purchase and I wish I had bought it years ago. It fits so well and has the warmth of wool that I desired for all my outside uses ( hunting, fishing, etc.). Thanks for great products. Dan

I purchased two pairs of these pants one in olive and the other in the heavier weight camp pattern. the olive pants appear well constructed and are plants warm as stand alone pants in cooler temperatures. The camp pattern pants I was disapointed in the heavy weave of the wool. They did not present with the same tight weave as the olive pants. I have several wool articles of clothing from other manufacturers and know that just because there is a heavier oz. weight does not mean that the weave feds to be heavy. I t almost appears loose when compared with the olive pants. I utilized the camp pattern pants for white tail hunting this season, and with long underwear they served there purpose, but with the heavier weave I do not know if i would count on then in colder temperatures.

Why wear denim and freeze? It's cold in Canada. Wear wool. Great pants at a good price. Contrary to instructions, they are washable (cold). Air dry. Will last for years. I own two pairs, in green.

I expected these Maine Guide pants to be a bit warmer, but they actually fit my needs well. I had to order up a size in the waist in comparison to other LL Bean pants I've purchased. The quality looks great and I appreciate the option of using suspenders with the installed suspender buttons. The fine rubber trim on the waistband also helps to prevent my shirt from riding up--a nice bonus!

I bought these for deer hunting in Northern Wisconsin where the weather can range from 32 degrees to below zero. I wanted one pair of camoflage wool pants that would work for everything. They needed to be durable, light enough for walking and heavy enough for sitting, and above all, affordable. These pants have satisfied each of the items I was looking for. They were just the size I ordered and fit like American made pants should. I am very satisfied and will buy again from LL Bean!

I have not worn the pants while hunting yet (will this weekend) but the fit is spot on, and they are a very substantial fabric.
Especially nice is the "sticky feeling" material sewn into the waist that promotes pants "staying up", even though I will be using suspenders.
They seem a good value, as comparable pants are quite a bit more money. Delivery was very quick.

Great wool pants with room to bend. The fit is just right and the fabric appears to be tough enough to stand up to the outdoors without tearing.

Bought these to replace a 30 year old pair of Malones which somehow shrunk in the waist over the years - go figure. I agree with other reviewers that these are not quite as heavy as my old ones, but that is not such a bad thing as the older Malones tended to be too warm if you're on the move. Overall they seem to be well made and should be fine for those ultra cold days when I won't want to be in the field in Underarmor and cotton jeans.

I switched to these pants this season for bowhunting. very comfortable, and most importantly, quiet. They allowed stealthy stalking, and I was able to capitalize on my moose hunt quickly.

BOUGHT TWO PAIR ON A WHIM and was pleasantly surprised by the weight of the material and the overall fit. I usually have sizing issues buying on line but these were spot on both waist and length.
I will have to wear some under armour or similar insulation since these are heavy duty wool and are not lined
