At 6'4" and 290 lbs., I'm not the smallest guy around, nor am I the easiest to fit. I've ordered these pants before in 46" waist and 36" leg, and just found them to fit nicely. I live in British Columbia and we know winter here. I keep my mobile home at 60 to 62 degrees. In blanket lined flannel shirt and these pants I'm just comfortable lounging around. My only complaint about this product is that 36" leg seems to no longer be available. Looks like I'll have to settle for a short little 34" leg. other than that, I find these pants to be a relaxed fit and bind nowhere. They're well made, reasonable good looking, easy to launder and quite comfortable and warm. What more could you reasonably ask for? I currently own two pair and am now ordering two more pair. Hmmm... guess that must mean that I like 'em.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FrankieDee Great pants, but not as large as a buyer expects.
I have purchased these pants in the past (several years ago), and they were wonderful. those pants are now worn out so I wanted to order another pair and hoped that they would be exactly the same. ALMOST! The size was slightly smaller... I ordered what I had last time (36 waist, 30 long) and what came was MARKED at the correct size but I believe they would actually be 35 waist and 30 long. As the pants are "comfort waist" they still fit but are slightly more snug than the original with less "stretch". I am keeping them as they still fit, (and I am loosing a little in my waist due to exercising more lately). But customers should be aware of the pants being slightly smaller than they are SAID to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Timdy Lined Chinos
These Chinos were purchased with the expressed purpose of finding a comfortable, warm pants for cold weather golf. The comfort and fit of the pants is excellent, allowing for movement, walking and bending with no cinching or binding.
The lining is better than advertised. First it is very comfortable against the skin. Second, and more importantly, it keeps the wind and cold from seeping through the pant and maintains a protective warmth around the lower body.
Very pleased with these pants.

Should have paid attention to reviewers--these Comfort waist Chinos are way smaller than their stated size--the 36 in. waist is more like a 34 & the Comfort Waist allows almost no stretch. Too bad! Returning both pair.

either my waist expanded or the pants were sized wrong. Even with the comfort waist I could not close them

I have had many pairs of these over the years, wonderful to wear outdoors in the cold weather. Only problem I have is with the choices of lengths available. It would be nice to have additional choices; e.g. 33in

Rated 5 out of 5 by CrossingGuard Good Winter Addition
I am a school crossing guard and this will be a good addition to my winter uniform wardrobe. Pants are given to us as part of our uniform but needless to say they are on the thin side and not very warm. The lined pants will help offset the cold weather which is predicted once again for our area. The pants help make my job a little more tolerable in the winter. Thanks LL Bean. I have already tried them and I may order another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BillTa Decent choice
I am 6'3", 260 lbs, 42 inch waist, long rise.. I was looking for lined pants to keep my thighs warm at footballgames, plus to look nice. These pants fit most requirements. I did pay attention to the previous comments about the waist being tight and missized. Since I wear a 42 in pant size I ordered the next size up, 44, and these pants fit perfectly. The comfort waist and rise make the 44 size fit just like I want them to. Had I ordered the 42 the waist would have been too small. Heed the warnings on the previous reviews. I would have given them 5 stars except that they do not come in a fleece lined model, which I preferred. The flannel is very good, but not as hefty as the fleece lined Pathfinder pants I ordered too. The Pathfinder Fleece lined are good except that the rise is too short, in the 42 inch waist size, Since they are sized correctly the 44 would been too large . However, the fleece is perfect weight that I wanted, so I'll keep them anyway despite the semi shortness in the rise. Both options allow me to be warm and look nice. What else could you want from LL Bean?!!!
