Bought in petite so wouldn't have to hem them. The petite length is a little on the short side, so I don't put these jeans in the dryer, just let them air dry inside out. The lining to the jeans does act as a lint magnet. They are warm, fit a bit snug in the crotch (the test is to get into your car seat and see if you can stand it) and have a good weight to them. I would like the legs to be more tapered to the foot to cut down on up-the-leg drafts. I like them.

Fantastic pants for long walks on very cold New England days. They block the wind and are very durable.

I ordered the flannel-lined jeans earlier this season and really love them, but for extra warmth, softness and comfort, I love these fleece-lined jeans even more. I have looked for years to find the higher waist jeans and am glad to know they are trending back. Having read the other reviews, I ordered one size up (8).The waist is fine but the rest of the jeans are baggy. "So what?" I said to myself. "They are warm, soft and very comfortable, just right for wearing around the house on a cold wintry day." And yes, I also wear them outside with a longer coat. I have a sewing machine so I followed the lines of the seams to take them in somewhat. I also cut some of the extra material. It was easy to do and any beginner seamstress can do the same to make them fit better. They are not stylish due to the extra thickness of the lining, but again I own stylish jeans which are not warm! Personally I think they look cute! Love, love, love these jeans. Thank you, LL Bean!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Addisonian tight waist, baggy hips, too short
I ordered these same jeans several years ago, really liked them--they still fit fine--and wanted an "extra" pair. The sizing of these has changed completely--much for the worse. I normally wear a size 2, but the size 4 in these was too tight in the waist, while the hips were ridiculously baggy, and the legs far too short. These are the original clown pants. What happened to the great pants you once made?

The women's jeans are too tight in the waist. It would be nice if they had elastic on the sides like some of the flannel lined ll bean women's jeans. Luckily I solved this problem by purchasing men's LL Bean fleece lined jeans and they are great. There are many waist and length sizes to choose from. The only difference is the color or the fleece in side.

The cut of these jeans didn't work for me -- waist very narrow and thighs that balloon out. I also didn't like the non-stretch denim, which was stiff and heavy. I wish that LLBean would offer fleece lined women's jeans in stretch denim for better comfort. They probably would weigh less, too. Sadly, will have to return these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by OregonB Waist too tight and too high of a rise
After reading the reviews, I ordered a size larger than I usually wear, but after trying these on they were still too tight in the waist and quite high. The quality was nice and they were warm but with the larger size the legs were then way too baggy so I am returning them.

Walking the dog in the winter, in the wind, on the beach -- these jeans are a REQUIREMENT! I was given a pair some years ago by the family, at Christmas time. Then a second pair was a good idea to alternate with the first pair the following winter! Now, as the first pair wore a little bit on one knee, I've added a new pair ... tra la!! :) Just cannot imagine going thru a winter without 'em now! Especially the fleece-lined ones! Thanks to whoever got this idea!!

The biggest need was for warmth and this fits the bill. Good fit. And did I mention they are warm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by RetiredPT Need these, but
I had read the reviews on these pants and was concerned about the tight waist reported by others so I ordered a size 12 instead of my usual 10 (ht. 5'3"; wt. about 123#). The 12's have a tight waist (but not so constricting that I can't tuck a shirt inside the pants) for me the size 12 jeans are baggy in the thighs. I also don't care for the high rise even though I am 70 years old and supposedly older women prefer the high rise. Nevertheless, these lined jeans are a keeper for me because they are so incredibly warm when I work outdoors in cold weather (20's to 40's).
