Very lush bath rug...BUT...the colors did not match. Customer service having a new set sent and having them matched before they are sent. Would have given 5 stars if the colors were the same.

I bought two of these mats to put in the kitchen for my care-giver/husband who has peripheral neuropathy (his feet hurt). He's a gourmet cook, does all the washing up, and says the mats are a huge improvement on standing on the tile--he said he could even take his shoes off as the mats are soothing to his feet.
I love that the mats are slip resistant without having a rubber backing.
They do create a falling hazard which would be reduced if they were not as wide. I will consult LL Bean and my sewing experts about cutting them down to a more narrow profile without causing them to unravel.
As they are in the kitchen, they need to be washed once a week. The instructions say to dry on low heat--which would take a loooonnngg time--so spouse hung them out in the sun. Whether spouse will dry them on high heat in the winter or low heat with dry towels is yet to be determined.
I wish we hadn't just bought a rubber-backed mat for the bathroom so I could have bought one of these, but one doesn't stand on the bath mat for as long as one stands in the kitchen.
My husband loves the mats, which is really saying something as my hobby of shopping at LLBean is rarely looked on with pleasure by said spouse.
As for amusing us, our cat loves to sneak up on the mats and pretend they are threatening. I got concerned when he began attacking them as I didn't want to find out if he could pull the loops free, so I gave him a treat for lying on the mat. Now he pretends he's going to attack the mat and when he doesn't get attention for that, he lies on it and looks hopefully for a kibble.
Most amusing as well as most comfortable mats we've ever owned!
House-proud people should note that the mats are loopy and if that is not the current style, then by all means get a less-comfortable but more sleek-looking mat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LisaMV What happened to the pretty colors?!
I have been buying these for close to 10 years now, updating them as necessary so I always have good ones for guests. This spring I bought the "Soft Teal" - which looks sweet on the site - but what I got was a dark morose steely teal - more like a "Soot-Covered Teal".
If you like dark grayish colors, it is fine, but for our summer cottage it is awful! I still have my old soft rose pink (love that!) and the other teals, which were more like a sea grass color, quite lovely.
I can see that "Soot" seems to be all the rage these days, but some of us still like fresh & sweet! I hope LLBean reads this...

Rated 5 out of 5 by wntrpkgirl Perfect in the kitchen too!
I actually bought this for my kitchen - I wanted something long enough to catch the drips from items going from my sink to the dishwasher on one side, and from my sink to the drainboard on the other side. I bought the pine green color and it goes perfectly in my kitchen, doesn't move an inch on my tile floor, and covers the area perfectly. It was one of those items I loved from the first moment I started using it - no need to adjust to having something new in the kitchen - it just fit! It has a nice pile to it so it will tamp down as you use it - when it's fully tamped down that's my cue to wash it - and it washes beautifully. Another quality llbean product :)

this bath rug is a little too high with loops a little too long and fluffy. It is not terribly soft. Color is good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Siren45 Definitely isn't colourfast!
Bought this mat in three colours including the dark blue about 2 years ago. The colour has washed out so badly, the loops are now an awful reddish purple colour., It's too expensive for me to post back for a refund, as I live in Australia. Very disappointed.

by QuiltB Disappointed with second bath mat
I ordered this bath mat in Antique Pine this past spring, loved the pale green, wrote a very favorable review. Ordered again recently and when the backordered mat arrived last week, the color was so completely different from the first one I'd gotten that I checked my Order History to make sure I'd ordered the same color. I returned that one for exchange. Next mat to arrive was equally off in color, nothing like the original mat which I still still love. Very poor quality control if there is such a significant difference among dye lots. Neither was remotely close to the first bath mat I ordered. Not what I expect from LL Bean.

Rug is on the rough side. Pile is fairly high. Not LL Bean's best.

I bought the teal-colored bath mat and just love it! I've washed it one time so far and it kept its color and washed up very nicely. The thick yarns are very soft. I would buy more if I need to in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ShoppingQueen250 Sturdy bathroom rug
These bath mats are very comfy underfoot. They seem sturdy, and are easy to clean with vigorous shaking in between launderings. The backing keeps the rug in place, but is not the old style latex backing that crumbles with age.
