I was surprised at the detailing, it's simply beautiful! If you love redwork needlepoint, the red dobby is for you! I did have to fix where the seamstress accidentally got a piece of material stuck in the seam while sewing, but since I'm an avid sewer, it was an easy fix. I love that it's very long which is how I think nightgowns should be. (I have the tartan plaid nightgown and feel it's a bit short, I'm 5'5")

I have had this nightgown for years. The fabric gets softer with each washing. I love the vintage styling. This is very generously sized. I wear a size 12 and got this in a medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Squeakalovesslipper Best nightgowns I've ever had
These nightgowns are the best. They are very comfortable. they don't shrink when washed and the color doesn't fade. I had three of these nightgowns but lost them in a bad house fire. I just bought 2 more because other nightgowns that I had didn't measure up to these. I love the fact that the cuffs don't dig into your arm. I really like the feel of them. They are soft, pretty and warm. I am going to order two more so I'll have enough to get me thru the winter.

I love these nightgowns for the winter! Cozy & warm for those
bitter cold days & nights in NJ. They do run big so order
accordingly. I am 4'11 and ordered PL. Minimal shrinkage.
I'm good to go with my UGGs. Bring on the winter!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Quiltgalindeed Not flannel, not nice, not L.L. Bean quality
We are fans of most L.L. Bean products ... However this nightgown has been sent back.
It did not have any of the flannel nap or soft flannel feel that we have come to expect from L.L. Bean's flannel sheets, etc. In fact the fabric seemed more like kitchen towel fabric....the kind of towel one displays but does not use because it is stiff and scratchy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MamaVerona I'd go up a size
I read all of the reviews looking for size guidance. Based on what I read in reviews and the size guidance from the company, I ordered a medium. I am 5'4" and wear a confortable size 12. After washing in cold water and line drying, the gown length hangs at mid-calf and is a bit snug on top. I like roomy PJs so I would go up to an L if I reordered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seminole88 Third time is the Charm
I just purchased my third Vintage Flannel Nightgown. The fabric is sturdy, yet soft and comfortable. It is well made and runs true to size. There is no binding through the shoulders, and the lower part of the gown is nice and roomy. I wash on cold and tumble dry on low, so no problems with shrinking either.

If I could live in this nightgown, I would; it is the best! The extra material in the top front and back help to keep warm - the cuff on the sleeves keep them from sliding up - the fabric is so soft, but durable - this is my third one to purchase. Also love the new colors - I got a blue one this time. Kudos to whomever designed this nightgown!

A few years ago, I ordered a vintage flannel nightgown as Christmas gift for my mom and she loves it. The nightgown kept her warm and comfortable to wear it. So I ordered it again for her birthday in August and she can't wait to wear it during winter months in Texas.
