I purchased this so that I could sleep in sunroom when the weather is really nice. Had major back surgery four years ago and have had a real problem finding a bed that works for me with three rods and eight bolts in my spine. I used this the first night to try it out an have slept on it almost every night since. The springs combined with the foam to give me just the right support where I need it. My Temperpedic is firm and good but doesn't give me support where I need it. I am ordering another cot to use at the beach condo. The only problem I have had is that by using the cot every night the included foam mattress is becoming compressed and I am on the lookout for one that might be more durable. The cot would be considered soft but it is just right for me. I weigh 180 lbs. and the frame and springs seem very durable. I am so glad I found this. I have had the best rest that I have had in a long time. This cot seems to be replacing my regular bed!

-Setup is about 30 seconds
-This cot far exceeded my expectations.
-The metal springs make it as comfortable as a bed.
-The Mattress is very comfortable
-My only complaint, and it's not really one is that the legs will collapse if you push or pull when cot is setup.
-The frame is powder coated so it should never rust and its light.
-Plan to sew a 1' pocket on a twin sheet top and bottom that can slip over the mattress so it remains clean.
-The height for sitting and getting up is ideal.
-Use for taking naps and ideal for guests that get tipsy. No reason not to have one in the closet or keep in trunk, if you had a screened in porch and it was raining....

I bought this cot for camping, but of course when it arrived I set it up in the spare room to try it out. I woke up next morning refreshed and without a trace of lower back pain (which is chronic with me). I was worried that the middle support would bother me, but this isn't the case at all. My job involves a lot of lifting, and if my back is cranky at bedtime I now sleep on this cot. It really does help me.
And now for camping! Last week I took a trip up to the White Mtns. Yes, the cot does take up more room in the car than an inflatable mattress, but what a difference it makes for sleeping. Instead of waking up every couple of hours trying to find a comfortable position, I slept right through the nights. Woke up refreshed and ready for the day's activities.
Long story short, this isn't a cot--it's a portable bed, and a comfortable one at that. If you're looking for a cot, please skip the canvas ones and spend the extra bucks for this one. You won't regret it. The one 'improvement' I would suggest is that the manufacturer install two plastic 'clips' to clamp the folded cot together instead of one. The one provided does the job, but if it breaks, could I find another?
Thanks Bean, for carrying this item. It's great.

I bought 3 of these - at least 5 years ago. I live in a large country house and often have family visiting. These cots are comfortable and long lasting. Everyone who has used one (including me!) thinks they're great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by adore comfortable, easy to store, great for extra bed.
We found it very useful in our condo in Florida. Whenever we get visited by our grandchildren and relatives, we pulled out the folding cot and let them use it for extra bed. I have two of folding cot now and i believe i will have a great satisfaction in years to come for acquiring this items.

Just got this cot and slept on it for the first time. For a cot, it is very comfortable. I put an old comforter under the mattress, just to give it a little more cushioning, but I really did not need to.
Will bring this camping and to our kids' house so I can put this on the screened porch and enjoy the fresh air !

Recently bought the cot and so far have spent two nights on it, tent camping. Couldn't be more pleased. Nice height, stability, and very comfy. The "springs" are perfect. I am 5'4" and about 150 lbs, with two hip replacements. Nice width; felt generous, but not so wide as to be a problem in our two-person tent with another cot. No fuss set up. Construction seems strong. Covering and foam pad of excellent quality. No complaints. I appreciate the design, execution, and price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa58 Most comfortable cot
This cot is so comfortable you could sleep on it all the time. My family has two at my sister's camp and I bought one for home for guests. It is so comfortable I fell asleep on it while I was just resting. Folds up very compact can slip behind a door. Sturdy, easy to fold up. We have thrown away other cots because they are so uncomfortable, this is a keeper! Delivery was fast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Msomnia Nicer, thicker and wider than my other camp cot
This easy to use folding cot is not quite as comfortable as a standard twin bed, but it is close. No squeaks, and while more narrow than a twin, it is wider than the usual cot. I'm 54 years old, 154 lbs, and 5'4" and a fussy sleeper, and I was comfortable. Much preferable to a blow-up mattress on the floor. The fold out legs were secure and stable with glides that didn't scratch a hard wood floor. Great product. I would think even a school age child could carry it and set it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by charliechaps Firm narrow cot
I ordered this Swedish cot, made in Estonia to replace a raised airbed that I slept on for a year. I first looked at the new and improved version of this cot on LLBean.com with the wood slats but feared cracking, or the slats slipping out of their fittings like some the reviewers shared. When I saw that this model had serpentine springs connected to each other with metal clips I ordered this instead. So far I really like the firm feel of it. I'm 5'9", 160 lbs and the support I get is an improvement over my old raised airbed. It is narrow with a thin mattress so don't expect luxurious style sleep time - it is a cot. As a guest cot for non-obese people and kids it does the job and it works for me.
