The rugged nylon shell has a durable, highly water-resistant treatment that protects you from rain and wind. Lined with soft, warm 300-weight polyester fleece in body and collar. Sleeves are lined with smooth nylon for easy on/off and insulated with Thinsulate™ Insulation polyester for warmth without bulk. Two fleece-lined pockets outside and one easy-access pocket inside keep your gear secure. Imported. Machine wash and dry.

This is a wonderful warm well made jacket where I don't have to wear 4 layers to stay warm. We have been to Arizona and New Mexico in February and would have loved to have this jacket at that time. Rated 5 out of 5�by bakergram the "next" warm-up jacket I was tired of seeing my husband in his ratty, frayed-at-the-cuffs warm-up jacket which he's worn for 10 or 12 years. This time, I ordered it in tall since he insists on choosing it over other coats. Now, it covers his sweaters and looks much nicer. I'm sure this won't be the last of these jackets we order. He loves the soft interior and the fact that it isn't so long that he sits on it when driving. May 8, 2013

The waist band rides a bit high which I wasn't really expecting - expect it to hang around belt level. Not a problem for me but might be of interest to those perusing these reviews. May 2, 2013

I live in Bangor, ME. and find it is useable most of the year for non-sports activities: in Winter with a fleece underneath, hat and gloves, : in Spring just as is, : in Fall just as is: and in Summer during a cool stretch or on many a cool night. This jacket holds up well, is washable and allows good arm movement. Not a good rain jacket, but OK in a light rain or ocean mist. As with all LLBean purchases, they will replace it if it develops any problems (which is rare). May 2, 2013

I called And the lady told me they've had many returns with the same problem. If you can't try it at the store you're taking a chance by ordering online. I returned mine. May 1, 2013

This jacket fits the bill. It is very comfortable and sheds moisture. It is quite warm also. I'm very satisfied. May 1, 2013

We purchased it to replace a previous bean jacket that was approximately 10-15 years old. The only reason we replaced it was because my husband got something on the sleeve that would not come off.
