Wanted something between a windbreaker and heavy jacket. This is a wonderful warm well made jacket where I don't have to wear 4 layers to stay warm. We have been to Arizona and New Mexico in February and would have loved to have this jacket at that time.

My husband used to have a similar LL Bean jacket - it was his favorite. But he "outgrew" it so to speak and had to donate it. He started to eat better and lose weight and one of his motivations was being able to fit into an 2X again so he could get this jacket and he did! We got him the blue & the burgandy - he LOVES them and is thrilled. He always said it's the best jacket he ever owned, and it "lasts forever."

You cannot find a better all around jacket. Very comfortable, and a nice fit.
The quality is exceptional and the price you just cant beat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AlienAcres Loved it but zipper failed...
I purchased this jacket a couple of years ago and loved it. I'm a 5'9" slim female and purchased a men's medium. Great jacket--well-made, fit great, looked nice, and I could wear it both in town and in the barn. I was dismayed when the zipper failed last winter because there is so much wear left in the jacket...

Rated 2 out of 5 by JamesNW Nice design, but not quality
I am a longtime LL Bean customer. I recently ordered an LL Bean Warm-Up jacket, and expected it to be fairly consistent with the one I bought 20 years ago. This may sound unrealistic, but can still be expected from better sellers like Bean. I am disappointed in this jacket by the cheap department-store feeling of the outer layer, the lining of the pockets (which do not appear to be fleece lined as advertised) and the boxy fit of a jacket style that used to be a favorite of mine. The jacket does appear to be warm and has a decent fleece lining, aside from the pockets, but I will most likely return it for refund or try another jacket that represents an upgrade. In summary, this is a decent jacket at a $50 price point but not at the $70-$80 level.

Fast Service, including exchange. In Canada, shipping for exchange is not free even LL Bean sent you a defective jacket. I've returned a warm up jacket with a crease from stitching at the collar.I got it back around two week, so do the shipping charge too.

Just received the Alpine Gold warm up jacket. The color is more outstanding in real life. What a deal.
These warm up jackets are a best bang for the buck. I have suggested to LLBean that warm up vests with identical fabric choices would be an awesome addition to the catalog. I'm ready to purchase such an item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KitColorado Size Only
I just received my jacket. So this review will be about size only.
I?m 6 foot tall, and weight 235 lbs (about which 35 is beer belly).
After reading other reviews that state this jacket tends to run on the small side. I ordered the XX-Large size instead of my usual X-Large. I?m glad I did. The jacket fits great across my chest, and shoulder area. With good zip over the belly (not Coors).
Only one very small minus. The sleeves are .75 or 1 inch too long. But the knitted cuffs keep the sleeves bottoms just at lower wrist level, so no big deal.

Love these jackets. Often during winter these jackets work better than sweaters for long term warmth inside the house with only a t- shirt weight turtle neck and such.
Therefore I now own a few ?like 4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TitusPullo7 Fleece lined warm up jacket
I purchased this jacket once before in a smaller size and found the Medium to be too snug. Usually, a Med. has been my standard size but not in this case. I then purchased the Large size and it fits just fine with ample room around chest and waist. I am 5.8" and around 170#,and the Larrge is just right.
I bought this in the late spring, so will wait for fall to really put it to use. However, fit and quality of construction are good and the fleece lining should be just about right for Pac. NW fall and winter weather.
I got this on a 10% discount promo so the price was almost an offer I couldn't refuse.
