Rated 5 out of 5 by RetiredShipper LLB Warm up jacket
I bought one of these in blue years ago, wore it for ages.I finally donated it to charity, as it was still in good shape. I purchased another in burgandy this year. It is still the same quality garment, however I thought it was a little tight. I like to layer my clothes in winter, so this is what I did. I returned the jacket in exchange for a LLB gift card. When the g/c arrives I intend to re-order in the next size up. This is a nice no nonsence Jacket that you will have for years. You will not be sorry about ordering one. Recommended with 5 stars !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Twofish My son LOVES it!
Great purchase. My son is 6'4", 200 lbs. Initially I ordered a Large Tall for him, but the arms were too short. The Extra Large Tall is perfect. In Central New York, we have chilly days until June, and this jacket provides a great solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by woodsy60 Great Quality and Warmth
I like to use an item for several months before writing a review for fairness to the company and to myself. I have not been disappointed about a single thing with this jacket. It has kept me warm the entire winter, as low as mid 20 degree temperatures, and its quality is holding up extremely well. It fits perfectly and as an unanticipated bonus, it seems to shed snow well and so far any rain "balls up" and runs off. Couldn't be more pleased.

......wish I'd said that (about Bean's Alpine Gold Warm-Up Jacket).
This jacket joins two other Bean coats (Baxter State Parka+ the 11 ounce duck Field Coat) in providing protection, warmth plus high visibility for my work as an accident investigator.
I've embraced Bean outerwear for years. This 300-weight fleece lined model joins a long list of well presented products (Including an Aladdin kerosene lamp from the 1980's which needs no pump to shine like a 60-watt bulb).

Rated 3 out of 5 by bostonworker Why, why, why did you stop making this for women??
Please, LL Bean, bring back the women's warm-up jacket! My favorite style ever, and I'm much too petite to wear a man's small without looking ridiculous.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LostNFound Great jacket, but poor cuff quality
I have owned three of these jackets. I just love the overall look, the medium weight and the versatility. My only complaint is that the cuffs seems to be poor quality. On all three jackets, they began to unravel. The one I have now is doing it again - falling apart as the threads unravel in the elastic cuff. So disappointing in an otherwise perfect jacket.

I purchased the Deep Tidal Teal color which was on sale for $49 dollars and this was an incredible value. The fit is great, pocket placement perfect, and it keeps me warm, comfortable, and looks great.
I had purchased the warden green for my oldest son the year before and his is still holding up nicely and my younger son had gotten a khaki one that he has outgrown and passed along...so for $49 he got a new Deep Tidal Teal as well, which he appreciates greatly.
This is one of the best products that LL Bean makes and a must for one's wardrobe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ShopperBob Traditional Fit?
First off, its a beautiful quality made jacket. No question about that. The info on the web page says Traditional Fit. I have bought a ton of clothing from LL Bean , all in my size, all of it in Traditional Fit, and it fits me perfectly. Its a quality product, but the jacket is too tight. Arms are tight, across the back is tight, and I can hardly zip it in front. Love the jacket quality. But hate to say I may send it back. What happened to the traditional more relaxed fit? I would only recommend this jacket to a friend who is slim fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AaronK Warm Up Jacket Is Awesome!
I am totally happy and satisfied with this jacket and purchase! The jacket is a perfect fit. Love the zippered pockets. Deep and not shallow pockets. The inner pocket holds my HTC M8 Smartphone perfectly with a little room to spare. The zippered outer hand pockets are perfectly placed and deep and warm. The fleece lining is thin and not too bulky and very warm. The zippers slide smoothly, but are not those tight teeth zippers on many jackets. The cuffed sleeves and waist really keep out the cold and drafts without being too tight. I'm 5"9 with a 44" chest and 33" sleeve length and the Large Jacket fits me perfectly. I bought the Warden Green jacket color and it is a bit darker in person than in the advertised photos, but still a nice color and shade of green. I highly recommend this jacket as a Fall and Winter and Spring jacket for tempts below 55 degrees. No complaints so far.
