Rated 5 out of 5 by Simon1978 Pretty much perfect
Some reviewers complain they're too baggy. They are a bit baggy, but really not too much. Anyway, they're just jeans, and I have certainly seen much worse: truly weird looking. These are standard, orthodox jeans, nothing fancy or foo-foo about them.Nice fit without anything goofy, such having an oddly low rise. They look nice. I have it on good authority: my wife, who has good taste and if these were too baggy, she would voice that perception right away. She did not.
For stiffness, I soaked them overnight in a lot of vinegar. Then I washed them in hot water, adding baking soda during the rinse cycle. Hot water does not shrink these. Nor does hot heat in drying. I suspect they, along with the vinegar and the baking soda, quickly diminish the stiffness. Vinegar leaves absolutely no odor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SwampMouse Best fit even for women
As a 63 year old woman, I find that the new women's jean styles are too high-waisted among other negative factors. These jeans sit low on my waist, are very well-made and I absolutely LOVE them! After receiving my first pair to try on, I've just ordered five more in different colors and washes. Gotta love LLBean. To this day, still my most trusted online shopping experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mojoon I received a call from L.L. Bean today.
I earlier wrote that the L.L. Bean leather label bled onto the legs of a pair of my light khaki jeans I bought in December, 2014. A L.L. Bean representative called me today and requested that I return both pair for a refund and they would be contacting their vendor. I appreciate their good service and is why I remain a loyal customer of theirs. The reviewer preceeding this review also commented on the leather label bleeding. I don't know which color jeans he has, but I don't doubt the bleed from the label may have migrated. That reviewer wrote about my writing that Resolve cleaned the bleed from my pants. As I was packing the pants today to return to Bean, I noticed there still is a little bleed stain left, but not highly noticable. Behind where the lables were sewn onto the pants, the pants are noticably stained underneath the removed labels. So, Bean is aware of the problem and I feel sure they will remedy it. I have not noticed any bleed from the lables on my dark wash jeans onto other clothing. Just like the previous reviewer said, the label bleed was not immediate and took place about 3 months after I had the jeans. I'm very careful about washing my clothes properly and liked the color of the jeans, so when the problem is solved, I will probably order replacements.

The leather (at least I think it's leather) label bleeds a red dye. I was trying to identify the source of the dye since it was on bath towels I washed with my jeans and on the jeans. (Unfortunately it also ruined an llbean light blue wrinkle resistant oxford dress shirt also). It did not start to really show up on the jeans until several wash cycles and to make matters worse just continues to bleed more and more! Shout stain remover didn't touch the stain, however, someone here says Resolve works. Until they change the label the only fix is to remove it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RedSox13 no comfort waist
Is there a reason why the classic fit jeans do not come in a comfort waist? The natural fit is way to baggy for me. I've been wearing Double L jeans for years and over the last couple I've noticed the waist is off on the new ones I've ordered. I still fit in the jeans I've had yet the new ones of the same size I can't get buttoned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mojoon Light Khaki leather label bleed
If anyone purchases the light khaki color, be aware that the leather LL Bean label can bleed onto the jeans when the pants are washed. I have two pair and on one pair the leather label bled down the legs. I cut the leather lable off, used Resolve on the bleeds, then washed the pants and the bleeds dissappeared. I cut the leather label off my other light khaki pair to prevent another bleed. The leather labels probably bleed into the darker pants, but is not seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimtc Finally, jeans that fit
At 6' 1" 165 lbs. and 60 years old, I finally found a pair of jeans that fit my slim build and are styled to fit my age. I'm not over the hill but I have a heck of a view from where I'm standing.
Additionally, I can match the inner and outer leg seams and iron a crease down the front of the legs without dealing with one twisted leg. I would recommend these jeans to anyone with a slim build and an active lifestyle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by johnincl Fit great; denim quality fair
These are the only jeans I buy because the fit is perfect. Over the years, though, I have noticed a subtle, but steady, decline in the strength and overall quality of the denim. It doesn't hold up as well, and the wrinkles need to be pressed more often. Has anyone else noticed this? Still love the fit, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DBN66 Excellent quality!
I have been buying LL Bean clothes for many years, including these jeans. The durability is excellent. I also appreciate the consistency in sizes. Can't say that about one other brand I used to wear. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dougiefresh3 Some size tips for these great jeans
Here's my story: (I'm 6'1" 220lb# Ordered 36/32. I first tried the expandable waist, but found them TOO baggy #my wife says she likes pants, shall we say, more form fitting in the back#. I returned the expandable, now have 36/32 "Classic" fit. I'm going to keep them. Love the quality and overall fit. But they are a little tight in the waist, esp. after a good meal. So now I've ordered a 37/32.#good for Bean to carry the odd sizes#. I think this may be the way to go for Classic fit overall yet a step up in waist size. #that's me not them!#. Hope this may help others.
