Rated 5 out of 5 by NJBikeCommuter2 The Classic kept me warm and dry this awful winter
I was out there biking every day this winter and these kept me warm and dry. BUY THESE.
PS - watch out for the sizing. I normally wear a 9 or 9 and 1/2 wide and I bought these in 8 wide and they fit perfectly with heavy socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CWoodrow I've Had It With These Boots!
Deep snow, frigid cold, slushy streets, ice covered hills, Ice chipper digs, deep mud & squeezed in a door. You name it, I've had it wearing these boots. Not one single complaint.
The best boots I have ever or will ever own.
Wear with thick socks and enjoy the quality. Ahhh....

Rated 4 out of 5 by ross0421 Beware of sizing!!
I'm going to start off by saying: these boots run HUGE. I always wear size 12, but for these boots I wear a size 9! I had to return a few pairs to eventually get the sizing right, so just be aware of that. Otherwise, excellent boots. Once you do eventually find the right size, they fit great. Comfortable, durable, and water proof. Great for snow and rain. And you can't go wrong with L.L.Bean's guarantee! Would definitely recommend. Worth the money!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MickyT22 Run HUGE in size
It's absolutely ridiculous how big they run order at least 2 full sizes down. It would be really great if LL Bean would learn to use the normal sizing charts. I'm getting tired of sending boots back and having to wait 3-4 months for another pair. Guess Ill just have to wait till next winter to wear them.

Rated 5 out of 5 Bean 8" uninsulated rubber bottom boot
After 60 years of quail hunting in 10 different states, I can say that if I was limited to only one pair of boots, this boot would be it. I'm on my 5th pair. Bean even replaced the rubber bottoms on a pair I sent them....for free!
Bean's customer service has been consistently outstanding for all those years. They have been true to their promise for complete satisfaction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zackkk Thank you
My Father passed away when I was 15. Now Im 20, and have found an old pair of his bean boots that look 20+ years old, but they are in perfect shape, other than looking broken in, and they fit perfect. Thank you L.L. Bean for making such a good, long lasting product. Now I can fill my father's shoes literally, and hopefully in good time figuratively. Not to mention the boots are super comfy, and very convenient if you live where there is snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GeorgeWestrup Awesome Boot!
I stopped by the web site to look at the boots available. It was great to see the original is still here unchanged. I bought the pair I have on today back in 1988 while stationed in Main. I have used this same pair every since for every type of outdoors events. I have worn them hunting in Maine, ice fishing in Minnesota, in the mountains of Washington, and now the deep freeze of Kentucky. They have never let me down and I believe the sales pitch that you would only need to ever buy one pair. Even that being true I am buying another pair of the darker brown! Thanks LL Bean!

Anticapted the arrival of these boots; however, in less than an hour of wearing them while I shoveled snow off my driveway, my feet seem to be damp. I really expected these shoes to be warmer. Oh well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Outdoormale Great boot
I had always heard these were good boots. I am now a believer. Have worn them a couple months now cutting firewood and rabbit hunting. I will definitely buy another pair after these wear out. They do run large. A size 10 works for me and I usually wear an 11.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NHBeaner3 Not Many Bad Things to Say About The Bean Boot
Not many bad things to say about the Bean Boot. It's comfortable, lightweight, waterproof, practical and functional. I love how they're handmade and made to use. One bad thing about the original Bean Boot is that it's not warm at all. If you're looking for a winter boot I would opt for the Thinsulate or Thinsulate & Gortex instead. Another thing that's one might be surprised by is how big they are. If you're not planning to wear very thick socks I would go one or maybe even two sizes down from your normal shoe size. Again, not many bad things to say about the Bean Boot. Overall a great choice!
