I bought these boots to use during heavy rain/snow. They've got great traction, look better with wear, and leave you feeling uninhibited as you stomp through puddles, mud, and all kinds of gunk. Finally found a boot that's MEANT to get dirty and looks good doing it. Be sure to follow LL.Bean's advice on sizing. I'm normally a 10.5 and the 9 fits perfectly, even with thick wool socks.

Boots are great. Sizing for these boots is not normal. I wear a 11.5 and the 10 fits perfect with heavy socks. So they run really big.

Great boots for wet weather and mud. There are many festivals here in Memphis in the Spring. Most of the early ones have one or more days of rain. These boots are perfect for that.

I bought a pair of these boots about 8-10 years ago for yard work. They are light weight, keep my feet dry and are quite comfortable. I put a gash in the rubber upper of one of them last fall and didn't hesitate to order a new pair to replace them. The first time I bought them, it took a while to break them in because the inside seam where the rubber meets the leather was rubbing on my ankle. In the latest version that seam is smoother as they've added some sort of filler material so they are comfortable from day one.

Love the boot, be sure to follow the size guide lines. I usually wear a 9 1/2, but bought the 8. It fits great. Shipping was very fast!

Heavy rains were on the way to my area and I knew I needed a pair of waterproof boots to keep my feet dry through the day at work. (My work boots have a hole in the heel, but that's not usually a problem since its sunny most of the time.) I ordered my Bean Boots and received them just before two storm systems dumped 18 inches of rain on my town. Others slogged through the puddles and dealt with wet feet while I stomped purposely through them secure that my feet would remain dry all day. Now I look forward to rainy days because my Bean Boots work as advertised. Chuck D said, "Don't believe the hype," I say Chuck D never wore Bean Boots! They look great and are completely comfortable. I'd buy another pair but I don't believe I'll need a replacement pair for at least 30 years. If you're considering a pair...go on and get them. Get a size smaller than your normal shoes and you'll be looking forward to rainy days too!

I bought these boots for my husband based on the reviews. Also because the boot was available in wide width with is not always easy to find. Our area soon had a blizzard after the boots arrived in the mail. My husband was pleased with the fit( he is very fussy) . Sorry to say the boot did not keep his feet dry as advertised. I called LLbean thinking I misunderstood that the boot should in fact keep the feet dry and warm. Customer service suggested that i try another pair because maybe the boots had a defect . Sent back the first pair of boots . My husband has not worn the second pair ordered as of yet so I can't comment on that. The good thing is ll bean always stands by it's product
