Rated 5 out of 5 by WasatchExplorer Solid boots
These boots do exactly as advertised, keeping out rain and snow, and they're comfortable with hiking socks. My only complaint would be that the rubber sole doesn't increase the coefficient of friction as much as I'd like; it's relatively easy to slip on ice.
This would be a 4-star rating, but the lifetime guarantee boosts them to 5 stars.
Follow the sizing chart, as these boots do run large.

Just received my new pair of bean boots. Not what they used to be. Seems like a different type of leather and they no longer include the wax and instructions for softening and waterproofing the leather. I miss my old boots already.

Super fast shipping, Quality construction. Exactly what I was looking for. Of course I had to try them out when I received them, the fit was perfect and they were super comfortable. Highly recommended!

Just as you would expect from LL Bean. Great product. Had an issue with first pair, sent them back. There's a lemon in everything so I had no issue with that. Great customer service and got a new pair. Fantastic boot. Can definitely tell they are made with care. They go great with the LL Beam boot sock. Highly recommend both!

Waited two months for these because of a backorder. Received them last Thursday and I've only wore them out twice yet this happened. Now I have to wait until March but my exchanged. Great. Not the quality I was under the impression I would get with these boot. Again, only worn them TWICE.
On a more helpful note: Follow their sizing instructions! I did and it fits as it should. I wear size 12 but got size 11.

I wear mine shoveling the driveway in Northern NJ, and they are perfect. I also wear them to work in NYC to avoid having a wet foot in the office. They do a great job protecting my feet from the infamous city slush. My only complaint is that my feet will actually start to sweat in them by just wearing them in the office.

Bought the unlined boot. Plan on wearing in the fall, winter, and spring. On cold days in the snow I wear Gortex socks. Works perfect. I wear a size 10.5 in most shoes and sneakers. Sized down to a 9. Perfect fit!

I haven't had a pair of boots as beautiful and comfortable as these. Absolutely worth the wait! It's wonderful to know that they will last forever.
Obligatory note to order a size down! I'm usually a size 12 - the size 11 fits me perfectly.

I received my first pair of Bean Boots in the mail recently. They are wonderful after the first week of wear. My favorite thing about them is how great they look. You can really tell that they are hand made and much better quality than factory-machine produced shoes.
They are pretty comfortable, considering they are a pair of boots. I have not had them submerged in standing water yet, but they have held up to their waterproof promise in rainy conditions so far. The traction of the boots seem to be pretty good in wet and slippery conditions too.
My only complaint is that the shoe laces are way too long. It is not a big deal, just more of an inconvenience. I am sure I can find some different shoe strings at a local store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MikeSouthernCT Really happy I bought these and Gumshoes
These boots are great. Given my job these will get a lot of weekend wear and night wear when it's cold/wet. If you're reading this review you know about the sizes already so I didn't adjust anything on those ratings although I think the width scale is on target with my normal shoes (length not even close).i wear a normal shoe 13-14 in my largest foot and a 12M is great even with Ragwool socks. I bought a pair of Gumshoes too and find myself wearing those more at nights for quick dog walks but the boots are the choice when it's really cold or raining and snow when it comes.
Lastly, I live in Southern CT and debated about lined vs unlined and went with unlined. I'm glad I did. I bought some rag wool socks for when it's really cold, but so far the boots and thin athletic socks have been fine for dog walks and normal outdoor stuff so far this year. These will be go to's for rain, light snow, and cold and my Sorel Caribou boots are there for lots of snow and winter play with the kids.
Loves these and the Gumshoes.
