Rated 2 out of 5 by MsPerfection Bring back the natural fit
Years ago there were more jeans choices, and I tried every one. Although I wear the relaxed fit now, not the comfort waist which has a very uncomfortable too-small waist, the old natural fit jeans were perfect. What happened? Luckily I have one black and one dark rinsed pair which I wear only on special occasions. Those were the days when LLB had 7 belt loops around the waist, not the 5 all of the jeans now have. Bring back the natural fit! Puhleeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oracleofdelhi No more Petite Women's Sizes, but . . .
. . . these fit me quite well when I wear boots. I am short and heavy (5'2'' 200lb) with a waist of 41 and seat of 51. Since I like the fit of the 20 W comfort waist in the twill dress pants, I took a chance on these. I like these a lot. They are as comfortable to work and walk in as to just sit in. I've had them for six months and they still fit nicely after many machine washings/dryings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ettz good material, waist too small proportionately
I was looking for 100% cotton jeans with fairly heavy material.
I was delighted to find these jeans and ordered 3 sizes based on the reviews about the too small waist size.
I found that with a size 12 the legs fit comfortably a bit lose, but I want these for gardening and working with my dogs, so that's great.
The hips were fine but the waist was about 2 inches too small to be comfortable.
Size 14 was better in the waist, but way to baggy in the hips and thighs?..
I like the fit of the 1912 favorite fit jeans.. and I can wear a 10? but the material is too light to wear well and I don't like the stretch fabric.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ColdFeetHater Will Work For Me
These jeans will work for me, but there are things to consider before buying them. The denim weight is heavy, so if you live in a hot, humid area of the country you probably wouldn't be comfortable wearing them in summer. There is a LOT of material in the legs. That is good news (if you have heavy legs), not so much if you have slim legs. The waist band comes slighly ABOVE my navel (odd). I haven't tried the jeans on with my regular styled tee shirts, so I don't know how it's all going to look, but keep that it mind. Shouldn't be a problem with tops that hang outside the jeans. I am 5' 41/2", and weigh 117.5 lbs. I bought these jeans in an 8 regular. They were a little long. I could have rolled up the legs because there wasn't that much excess material, but I took them to the cleaners to be shortened. There quality of the material appears to be very good, if stiff. The workmanship seems good.

Bean's Straight Leg jeans have always looked good on me, the high waist helps avoid "muffin top" tummy and the straight legs minimize my curvy hips. I am 5'4" and 128 lbs, wear a 12 reg and always hem the too-long pants (I don't get a petite, in order to have more room in the crotch that the regular size gives).
With trepidation I ordered elastic comfort-waist, original fit but "relaxed" tapered leg jeans, 12 reg. Wow, the waist is the same but there is more derriere room, a bit more comfortable than the straight-legs when sitting. I wasn't too excited about the taper, but I think the relaxed fit makes up for it. They are stiff but will undoubtedly soften up like my straight-legs. My husband thinks they look just fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CBinMI Waist Too Small
I love the jean material, color, and feel but the waist is way too small for the size. I have other jeans (not LLBean) in the same size that are almost too big in the waist, that's why I was hoping these jeans with the comfort waist would fit better and if so, I'd order more. But unfortunately these can't even be buttoned. I'm bummed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TucciPucci Feel better after reading other reviews.
I have always loved LL Bean jeans, and especially now that all other brands have either gone to a a lighter weight denim or added Spandex. Spandex gives me a rash and I need the heavy weight because I work outdoors in a cold climate. I've been losing weight and recently made the 200+ trip to an LL Bean store to figure out what size I needed, since my old pants are falling off without a belt. I bought a few pairs with comfort waist, and then ordered a third a few weeks ago on sale. When I got it the waist was MUCH tighter than the ones I bought in the store, and I'd lost a few more lbs! I also agree about more length availability for women. I'm not proportioned for petites and always have to hem pants! My husband is short and he can buy pants the right length! And women PAY more!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pastalady99 Waist too small
I ordered these in my size and even with the comfort waist, they fit everywhere but the waist. The waist is too small for the rest of the pants. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by gsdmom100 changed the jeans
I love my old pair of jeans, but hate my new pair. They changed the weave of the jeans and made the waiste higher. The waiste now sits several inches higher than my old pair and makes them uncomfortable to wear. The new weave is scratchy and has snags in them when they were shipped to me. I would not buy another pair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mootsie LL Bean Jean sizing
I have ordered the comfort waist jeans for years and still am wearing a size 10 (cotton), a size 8 cotton with 2% spandex and a size 8 cotton with 4 % lycra. I had to return the last two pair of jeans I ordered because they were too small (size 10's). I really like the ones with lycra as the denim is lighter weight and softer. I am so disappointed in the sizing of late.
