These pants are wonderful. I usually take a 34 W , 32 L jean and these fit as they should. I contacted LL Bean to see if I needed to go up a size but they recommended I stay with my normal sizing and were right.
The fleece is not bonded to the denim but is sewn in place, this is nicely done and does not feel " bunched up ".
The straight leg fit is nice as it is more fitted to the leg. I am 5ft 11 in and 195 lbs and lean. So many items of mens clothes these days are made with the assumption that you are overweight ( not surprising I guess given the obesity figures ) but these jeans are not made like that. If you are lean these will fit you nicely.
The denim is very nice quality and has 2 extra belt loops in the back so your belt stays in place.
I am very pleased with these jeans ( and warm ) , I have a couple of blood problems and have trouble keeping my body temp in the cold, these will help me immensely.

I actually ordered these jeans by mistake. I had a pair of the flannel lined jeans and loved them, so I wanted to order another pair. I thought that's what I did, but they arrived and turned out to be the fleece lined ones. Absolutely my mistake, but what a wonderful mistake it was! These jeans are so warm and comfortable that it's almost sinful to wear them. LL Bean has done it again.

Rated 4 out of 5áby samiamhis Nice jeans but....
These jeans were ordered in the classic cut for my hubby. They are nice jeans and made very well. The drawback is that for whatever reason, today the trimmest cut available is actually not "trim" at all. I will have to remake them in order for them not to look like clown pants on his skinny little butt and legs. He has a cowboy body, lean and tough. Pants today all are made in that relaxed baggy butt and leg style even when the ad says they are trim cut, they are not. I am just glad I can sew!
So the complaint is not so much against what LL Bean is providing but what the fashion industry is dictating that people wear. For men that are truly slim there are no jean cuts out there to compliment their bodies, not even at the cowboy stores. Waaaaah!

My husband is working both inside and outside during the winter. I bought a pair of these jeans for him last year, and he liked them so well, I bought more this year. They look like regular jeans, but the fleece blocks the wind and cold. They fit like normal jeans and wash well.

I'm actually a woman who was dissatisfied with the styling of the LLBean women's lined jeans (too mom-jeany with high waist), so I took the recommendation of another reviewer and tried these men's jeans.
They fit well (I usually wear a women's sz 10, ordered 30x32 in men's). The only thing I don't like is that they are a bit heavy, but that's probably to be expected with this kind of jean.
They do keep my legs warmer, and that's what I wanted.

Just ordered my 2nd pair of these fleece lined jeans. The pair I bought in the Fall of '02 and have worn every cool season since, are finally wearing out. As others here have mentioned, the surprising thing about these jeans is not that they're warm, but that they don't get uncomfortable when the wind settles and the sun comes out.
I ride motorcycles across the country, when I get the chance, and take trips during the Spring and Fall months, riding from sea level to mountain elevations. Temp changes during a day can easily exceed 40 degrees. These are my absolute favorite jeans to ride in for days like that. I'll be comfortable all day long.
And one more plus. In the event you get caught in rain, the fleece lining will be slow to absorb the water, keeping you relatively dry and warm until you take the time to change into water-repellant gear.
I just wish I could find a short jean, or duck, jacket and some overalls in the same fabric. Manufacturers insist on using a different lining in the sleeves for easier donning, which just isn't necessary. The fleece is so much lighter and so much better performing than cotton flannel...why doesn't L.L. Bean or someone else make a good pair of fleece lined overalls in a heavy duty denim or duck outer fabric?
