Love the jeans, but I always have to buy one size bigger which makes the legs loose because the waist is too tight on my normal size and also a little snug on one size up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Vanessa51 Fit perfect - except the waist
These fit perfectly, except the waist is way too small. I am pear shaped, so I thought from other comments that these would fit me fine, but not so. I have other size 8 lined pants from LL Bean that fit perfectly on the waist. There needs to be some quality control.

Alas, these pants, which I ordered a size smaller than usual, had to be returned due to the unusually large/baggy fit of the legs. The waist fit comfortably, neither tight nor loose, with room for tucking in a flannel shirt.
However, the legs were very very baggy. I am 5 ft 2 in, 105 lbs, with minimal hips. I ordered size 6. I suspect the 4 will be too small for my waist.
I realize that denim lined with flannel will result in a thicker product, but am not clear why there cannot be a narrower width on the legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MTOD Just what I expected
Let's be real, these jeans aren't going to be appearing in fashion magazines, but that's not why I bought them. I got them last spring when I first realized they existed, & wore them just recently for the first time. I waited outside the mall for 4 hours in the snow for Black Friday because I'm a cheapskate. These jeans were a godsend. I think I would've given up half an hour in if I weren't wearing them. The waist is a bit tight compared to the hips & thighs, & I'm an hourglass. However, if you're wearing these you're wearing them for comfort, so it's probably better that they aren't tighter. One thing I'd say is to order longer than you think you'll need. I'm 5'6", 140, & I ordered 10 Medium Tall, & they're a great length after going through the dryer.

At 5'7 3/4" tall, 124 lbs., waist 26 1/4", hips 37 1/2', inseam 32", Size 8T fit me perfectly. However, the recommended measurements for Size 8 are 28 1/2" waist, 38 1/2" hips. Although my measurements are smaller than recommended, I wouldn't be comfortable in a smaller size. I washed these jeans in cold water and, as I do with all my clothes, hung them up to dry. They didn't shrink with line drying. I don't know if they will shrink when machine dried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MidAtlanticMomma Perfect Fit for Fall...and winter
Since my weight runs between 100# and109#, I ordered this item in a Pet 6 and Pet 4. At this time, the Pet 6 fit so comfortably! With a pair of tights underneath, I was comfy and cozy. No "biting" waist or rise. P6 was a little loose in the thigh, but, hey, it's fall/winter and who cares...I was warm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ilikefunction PS - shrinkage after washing/drying
After washing/drying, these do shrink some overall and I found shrinkage in the length esp noticeable. I ordered the tallest inseam available (I'm only in the 5'8-5'9 range - not super tall by any stretch) and will not be able to wear these rolled-up at all as I had hoped. I didn't mention specific sizing in my other review - I had ordered a 10 and a 12, guessing that the 12 would be the best fit, but it was indeed the 10, which is my usual size for this and other vendors. I could've worn the 12 - they felt more "pajama-ish", but they looked slouchy on me. I can also wear a 10 in the straight version, so - if the waist on the relaxed fit doesn't work for you, you might try the straight version. I am a hip/thigh gal and didn't find the straight ones to be restricting in that area but they do seem a tad looser in the waist. The "relaxed" part of these pants is the thigh, not the waist, for which I am grateful.

I love these jeans and was very happy with the fit BUT when I went to wear them, I could not fasten the button. It is too close to a seam so there is not enough space for all of the material to get around the button. I need to return these. sigh

Rated 4 out of 5 by GFCFMamma nice & warm
So I got these for Christmas last year, but had to exchange them due to the size of the waist. I have what would be called an hourglass shape or curvy (small waist, larger in hips/butt/thigh/bust areas). But in my regular size- the waist was so tight I couldn't button them if I wanted to breath. Everything else fit great. I ended up going up a size because I really wanted a warm flannel lined jean for the winter. Now the waist fits fine, but everywhere else is really baggy- very strange. But I still recommend these for warmth. They are great when we go get our tree, when I'm outside with the kids or just going for a slow paced walk. Maybe LL Bean will make some changes to these jeans soon and I'll definitely order another pair!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ilikefunction For pear/hourglass gals
Most every jean on the planet is made for an apple or rectangle-shaped body - let the pears and hourglasses or curvy gals of the world have some jeans that fit us!!! Plus, I assume most folks buy these for warmth, and a low rise may not be particularly warm. Yes, the rise is high and the waist kinda comes up to my ribs when I sit back. I would be just fine if the front rise was a little bit lower but these won't be sliding down my bum and the waist does not need to be readjusted - some people are shaped this way and appreciate a waist that does not gap open for a change! I will need to wear these with a longer top since esp when I sit down, there is a lot of fabric around the tummy area (not the waist - the tummy), but that is just fine for how I'll be using these. And I can't complain about pant legs that are roomy, esp if the fabric isn't stretchy..... In my repertoire, these are for warmth and function - not fashion. If you are an apple or a rectangle, these may not work for you, but I know other vendors who have similar items in a boyfriend shape but no curvy shape, so let us have this one.
