Rated 4 out of 5áby GFCFMamma nice & warm
So I got these for Christmas last year, but had to exchange them due to the size of the waist. I have what would be called an hourglass shape or curvy (small waist, larger in hips/butt/thigh/bust areas). But in my regular size- the waist was so tight I couldn't button them if I wanted to breath. Everything else fit great. I ended up going up a size because I really wanted a warm flannel lined jean for the winter. Now the waist fits fine, but everywhere else is really baggy- very strange. But I still recommend these for warmth. They are great when we go get our tree, when I'm outside with the kids or just going for a slow paced walk. Maybe LL Bean will make some changes to these jeans soon and I'll definitely order another pair!

Rated 4 out of 5áby Ilikefunction For pear/hourglass gals
Most every jean on the planet is made for an apple or rectangle-shaped body - let the pears and hourglasses or curvy gals of the world have some jeans that fit us!!! Plus, I assume most folks buy these for warmth, and a low rise may not be particularly warm. Yes, the rise is high and the waist kinda comes up to my ribs when I sit back. I would be just fine if the front rise was a little bit lower but these won't be sliding down my bum and the waist does not need to be readjusted - some people are shaped this way and appreciate a waist that does not gap open for a change! I will need to wear these with a longer top since esp when I sit down, there is a lot of fabric around the tummy area (not the waist - the tummy), but that is just fine for how I'll be using these. And I can't complain about pant legs that are roomy, esp if the fabric isn't stretchy..... In my repertoire, these are for warmth and function - not fashion. If you are an apple or a rectangle, these may not work for you, but I know other vendors who have similar items in a boyfriend shape but no curvy shape, so let us have this one.

Rated 3 out of 5áby ILGirl90 Horrible Sizing
After reading the reviews, I ordered a size 10 (since I usually wear an 8. Even when trying to wear them on my natural waist (the smallest part), I couldn't get them buttoned. I will be returning them for yet another size larger. They seemed comfy, and I don't care what size my tag says. I just can't believe how untrue to fit these jeans truly are! Hopefully the 12's will fit like an 8 should!

Rated 2 out of 5áby Kansasn Waist is too small
I am a petite person with a small waist. I ordered my first pair of flannel lined jeans and could not even zip them up. I reordered a size up and felt squeezed. I sent them back too. I was so looking forward to some comfy warm jeans for the winter but was very disappointed. LL Bean needs to readjust the waist on these!

Finally a pair of jeans that keep me warm. Both my daughter and I sized up to get the waist to fit which leaves a bit of room in the seat and thighs. Length worked for both of us as well. With this long cold winter and cool spring, I'm reaching for these more than I thought.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Whisperbird Real Cold Weather Jeans but Ran Small
I ordered a pair of these in a size 4 Petite (5', 107 lbs) but had to return them. The waist and rear were way too tight and uncomfortable. The length was perfect as was the overall quality. I returned for a size 6 Petite in the Straight Fit Double L Flannel Lined Jeans and they fit perfectly!! I have experienced no shrinkage in length but right out of the dryer the waist is a titch snug for a very short time. Would love to see these in Black and Dark Brown!!

Rated 4 out of 5áby thatwombat Nice jeans for the right figure
These are excellent jeans and well-made but they are not for everyone. The fit is very much suited for an hour-glass figure- ie., narrow waist with larger hips and thighs. Just holding the pants up before trying on, this was obvious. But I knew this before ordering and purchased accordingly. I do have a fairly narrow waistline and the "relaxed" fit in the thighs works for me. If you have a thicker waistline and/or narrow hips and thighs, these pants are not for you.
These were my first ever pair of flannel-lined jeans and I had my doubts but they are very comfortable and snuggly on my legs.

I am 5'1" and 105 lbs. These jeans fit perfectly and look great! They have nice deep pockets too. Wish I had bought 2 pairs when they were on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5áby MidnightBlue good fit
For me these pants are great. If you have a more straight figure (larger waist & narrower hips) maybe they wouldn't work as well. But for my somewhat pear shape, I love them. Usually LL Bean pants are too big in the waist in comparison with the hips for me. I wouldn't mind the legs being a bit narrower, but please DON'T make them sit much lower on the hips. Some of us can't wear really low pants (on me, they are usually too big & gap in the 'waist' while being snug in the hips).
At 5'5" 125 pounds a size 10 is roomy (which is good since they are lined and don't stretch). Warm & cozy for walking in the winter. Please make your 'perfect fit' pants (cords or knits) with a lining!

Rated 1 out of 5áby mummy1 way too tight
After reading reviews mentioning the tight waist on these jeans, I ordered my usual size and one size up figuring one of the two would have to work for me. My usual size fit well with the exception of the very tight waist. The waist on the next size up was fine but due to the roomy cut I looked like I was wearing clown pants.Truly a shame because I loved the idea of the flannel lined jeans. This product may need to be restyled. Needless to say, both pair were returned by a disappointed shopper.
