Rated 5 out of 5 by DJLAB Perfect, Fabulous, Prime Quality!!!
I've been meaning to buy this jacket for a while -- glad I finally did. I love it. Soft distressed left and the perfect amount of room; as I don't like jackets to be tight fitting. LLBEAN does it right; and -- I ordered it Sunday evening and received it by 4pm on Tuesday! Just one day! Buy this jacket!! You'll love it!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by GTinVA VERY DISAPPOINTING
I gave three stars because the quality is up to LLBean usual standards. Very well made. Here are my problems:
The one I received is ENORMOUS. LLBean's Large Tall fits me in everything else, but I'd call this XL, maybe XXL. The sleeves are nice and long, but only because the shoulders are about 2" too wide. The body is loose, the sleeves are loose, it zips up like a parka. I was expecting a normal-fitting lightweight spring jacket, but this is not it. Medium or Small might fit me, if they are sized similarly.
Even worse, the leather looks AWFUL. The "weathered" brown is not weathered, it's printed to look like it's weathered. The pattern is uniform, not emphasized in areas that would get extra wear. It's also very green. I was hoping for a nice warm chestnut brown with a broken-in look. Ugh. It's very nice, thick, soft leather, but it looks like a cheap recliner.
I will return it, and may try the plain brown in Medium Tall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grummie79 26 years of wear and still serviceable
I bought this jacket in 1988. I still wear it almost daily. It has been around the world, in Gulf War ! and II and Afghanistan. With a sweater or liner it keeps the cold, wind and rain out. Best flight deck jacket I ever owned.
Ordered a new one as this one will be retired to my "I love me" wall. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by MITMD1 Nice bomber leather jacket
Nice style and finish, Good fit.
Leather a bit stiff, hope it softens with wear.
Also zipper not as heavy duty as I might imagine this kind of coat should have, hope it holds up with heavy use and cold weather.

Just wanted to update with a photo of the bomber jacket purchased at L.L.Bean in Dec 2013. It took about a month to wear the jacket in etc..
But, Its a great jacket, fine quality craftsmanship. I expect to have this jacket for many many years. I wear it most every single day. I get may comments on how good the jacket looks. You can still smell the leather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBEAN4MIKE GREAT FIT AND DURABLE. BETTER THAN EXPECTED.
I bought this jacket in 1986 and still wear it almost daily until summer gets here. I live in an air force town and many of my military friends say it is much better quality than anything they can get through the military. I plan to buy another in black.

I had to replace a leather jacket that I grew out of after 30 yrs and this was just the ticket. fits well over a sweater, good quality leather and is already breaking in nicely. Exactly what I expected from LL. Bean ~

Received the jacket in a timely manner, even during inclement weather. I am 6'2", 220 lbs and the XL Reg fits perfectly in sleeve length, shoulders and chest but the length falls at least 6" below my waist. I would be a proper fit for someone 6' 5" or more. Although the jacket isn't as soft as I had hoped, I still consider it a very good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CASJr Comfortable, stylish, great fit
I've always wanted a leather bomber jacket and this fits the bill very nicely. I bought the dark brown version thinking I would "distress" the leather myself eventually. If I had to make the purchase over again, I'd have bought the distressed version. That's no fault of the manufacturer or the vendor though. What I have is very useful and as advertised. The fit is perfect. The sleeves and design allow for easy arm movement without the cuffs riding up and exposing the wrist. The front zipper is very robust. All in all this is a quality jacket.

I have owned and loved the unlined Flying Tigers jacket since the early seventies. I got it when I was still in highschool, wore it till I out grew it, my son then wore it till he outgrew it (he's now 24) and now saving it for a future grandchild. Even after all these years the jacket still looks great, just now beginning to get a little "worn in" around the edges. nothing else I have ever owned has exhibited this level of craftsmanship, quality and longevity. The material and workmanship on this jacket is absolutely top notch! Would I recommend it to a friend? Absolutely without reservation!
