I purchased these slippers after Christmas last year because I knew LLBean would offer great products. When they arrived, I fell in love with them. They were large but wearing with a pair of socks helped them to feel more snug. They were so warm and comfy that I wore them often. I began to notice the shearling was matting down by the time it was warming up so I put them up. I've been wearing them this season for 6 weeks and am dismayed that the shearling has become bare spots. It is very uncomfortable when wearing them with bare feet so socks are a must. Thankfully, I haven't developed a hole in the toe! I sure expected better quality from LLBean.

I bought my first Wicked Good Slipper Clogs in 2003. I was blown away. The upper part was very firm and they felt solid. I did not have to buy another pair for 2 years!
I just recieved a brand new pair today. I checked my records. This is my 3rd pair in 13 months. The quality pales in comparison to 13 years ago. I have to replace them every 6 months.
They are NOT up to the LLBean standard of the past.

I love these slippers but they have a big hole on the left one in the big toe area. I purchased these slippers last winter, they are less than a year old, and they are only worn in the colder months. I'm very disappointed in the quality, as I have had other LL Bean slippers that lasted me years.

I love these slippers but I am very disappointed that the left slipper, Big Toe area, developed a hole after a few months of wear. I tried to sew the hole thinking maybe I had bumped something that caused this hole. Sewing is not a good idea as the suede material just rips apart and it got bigger and bigger. I was going to get a patch of suede to glue on but then the right slipper started getting a hole. The shearling is completely worn on the bottom in the big toe area on both slippers. Because these are really comfy, they need to redesign them with a thicker durable suede or other material. I think that the foot sliding back and forth is causing this inferior suede material to just slowly wear. Maybe sizing is a problem too. I was glad to read that others have had this problem and it is not just my feet. Encourage this to be redesigned as the cork is very good and the shearling very cozy. Bean is replacing my slippers I know they stand by their products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CCbeachbum Love them, but hole in right toe!
I have had these probably 2-3 years, only worn in colder months (Oct-Mar). I love the warmth and comfort and mostly wear clogs or backless shoes so these are perfect. However, I too have developed a hole, only on right side. Thinking it was me, I was about to look for a new pair when I read the other comments about right toe problem! My husband's slippers seem to last year's longer and he wears his everyday. Now I am unsure if I should invest in another pair.

The design of these has changed. The new ones are longer and have less wool inside. As such, there's too much space inside, and when I walk, the heels drag on the floor. I'm bummed. Wish I had kept my old pair. Not sure what I'm going to do with these. Maybe wear socks with them? Maybe try another slipper? The cork platform with arch support is an important aspect of the slipper for me. Supports my back when standing at home, cooking in the kitchen, doing chores, etc. Most slippers don't have this support.

I have bought 2 pair of these slippers and I was about to purchase a 3rd when I read the reviews. My slippers have very little shearling left in them and have a hole at the right toe just as others have complained of. Must be a defect, I think it is odd that so many reviewers would have the same problem. I love these slippers but am hesitant to spend so much money to have this happen again.

I have had my pair for going on three years. I wore them as much as I could during cold months. They were divine the first year. They have gotten wore down a bit now. The shearling is gone here and there - shiny spots. They are still comfortable so I am going to hold out another year. I just want to know from LLBean why they don't make this exact item for men?! They have things they call wicked good but they are not the same cork bed construction that I can see.
Please make these in Men sizes.

Had a pair of these for many years and loved them. They would have lasted forever it seemed except that the inside shearling wore down and I decided to spring for another pair. The pair I received the other day was not the same. The "shearling" was not the wonderfully cozy and comfortable stuff the old ones had. This stuff wasn't nearly as soft and felt synthetic. I am returning them as they are not worth the price.

Have two pairs of these Wicked Good Clogs. They are "wicked good," indeed. The first time I put my foot into one, I gasped. I couldn't believe how great my foot felt. I quickly ordered a second pair thinking that if Bean stopped making them, at least I would have a back up. I ended up wearing both pairs because when I couldn't find one of my slippers, I broke down and opened up the second box. For about six months, things were fine. Then suddenly the shoes started breaking down. The lining started coming out as described and pictured by others. Thank you, fellow bloggers! I plan to exchange both pairs, hoping that there have been some improvements in the quality. The rest of the shoe, for me, is fine--but between the two pairs, I haven't actually haven't worn the shoe as long as others. Thanks Bean for caring about the quality of your products and offering free returns when there seems to be a problem. It is exactly why you continue to have the vast majority of my business for clothing and home goods.
