I remember the Hudson Bay blankets that my parents had years ago. The one I recently purchased is precisely as I remembered it.
I like to read outdoors at night (both ashore and afloat) and the HB blanket enables me to do so in complete comfort - regardless of the level of chill in the air. There is nothing like wool for me in a blanket and the HB's traditional appearance and legendary quality is as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

Earlier this past fall I mentioned to my husband that I have always wanted a Hudson Bay Blanket since I was in high school. Guess what I found under the Christmas Tree? I was so surprised I cried. This blanket is everything I thought it would be. It is so warm. I have never slept under a blanket quite like it. It keeps us warm. Obviously, other blankets keep you warm too but this is a different kind of warm. Like Toasty. Just the most comfortable perfection of warmth. I would highly recommend this blanket. From what I have read they last a life time. So I'm hoping to buy each of our adult children one.

We received our blanket as a wedding gift from our LL Bean wedding registry, in '96. We love the blanket. It is very warm. The blanket is heavy and made of wool. We highly recommend this blanket.

My parents bought this blanket in the mid to late 1930s when they lived in Montana. As a child, I loved the blanket for its warmth and bright stripes. I still have it, double bed size, and it still looks great! Our son loves the blanket too, so when he visits us during the winter holidays, I make sure it's on his bed. Thank you L.L.Bean for the exceptional durability and beauty of this blanket!

My family bought two of these at the first LL Bean store up in Maine, on a family trip when I was 7. One for me, one for my brother. Mine was on my bed growing up, went to summer camp with me, to my dorm in college, and now I'm 42 and it's on my husband's and my bed--still with my name on it in permanent marker from when my mom put it there for camp--and it doesn't look a day worse for the wear. It just won't die. I still get compliments on it, it still keeps me warm, and I can't see why it wouldn't last another 35 years. (My brother still has his, too--it's in a closet at his house, waiting until his newborn daughter's big enough for a big-girl bed.)

THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING THIS BLANKET
My wife and I bought Hudson Bay (HB) wool blankets years ago and were very happy with the product. HOWEVER, recently, we bought a new queen size HB red blanket and discovered that after a few months the interior of our entire home was covered with a very fine (dust-like) RED wool fibers EVERYWHERE! On the rugs, crownmolding, windows, dinning room table..it was a huge mess to clean--LLBean was very nice and refund our money..This product is defective !!

I bought this blanket for my husband. It was a surprise. We have a Hudson blanket on our bed and when he started having sleep apnia, he slept in the guest room. He was really good and left me keep the Hudson Blanket, but I knew he dearly missed it. I ordered it for Christmas, and secretly made up the bed for him with the Hudson blanket on Christmas eve. When he turned in he was so happy. It is absolutely the best blanket anywhere and worth every penny.

25 years on, this blanket is still a valued part of the household. Warm, handsome, durable. Expensive, but not in terms of lifetime costs. I expect this blanket to outlast me.

When I was a small child, I remember my parents having a blanket like this on their bed. When I got married, my husband & I got one of our own. We love this blanket! It keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I would NEVER think I having any other type blanket on our bed. I've had it dry cleaned and it still looks new. You'll love it!
